Small, Easy to use given the youtube instructions, meets my needs

Overall, this meets my needs The included instructions are poorly written and confusing, but the youtube video is clearer; watch what to do, and how long to press the buttons (they are somewhat timing sensitive). Then write some notes. Web pages and PDFs are cheap, "Honeywell" Jasco ---- a well-written twenty page manual (online) with a dozen usage examples would save even more confusion. Test the instructions on many users - learn what they need to know, not what you feel like saying. For the cost of a few dozen free samples to volunteers who make phone videos of their fumblings, you can perfect your instructions, increase sales, reduce returns, and improve your reputation and Amazon product ratings. That said, the interface accomplishes a lot with a few buttons, once you learn how to use them. The unit contains a battery, and batteries do not last forever. The warranty is two years. Take notes (including programming times); if the unit lasts a couple of years, you probably got your money's worth, and will buy another. But you don't want to spend time remembering how to program the replacement. Batteries in landfills are a no-no. There are no instructions for proper disposal. When this unit fails, I can probably crack it open, remove the battery, and recycle it with my other batteries. I don't want to reuse the unit after opening it, that would be a safety hazard. The unit is quite small, and the lettering is as well. I'm nearsighted, so I can look close, but older people with presbyopia, or farsighted, might need a magnifier. Small is my preference; I can fit two side by side on a power strip or wall plate. This is a two-terminal unit with polarized plug - if this feeds a three prong plug, you will need a three prong to two prong adapter, with a long enough ground tail that you can reach the grounding screw on the wall plate some distance away. My application is unusual: I sometimes forget to take my morning or evening pills, and I take too many to fit most pill reminder boxes. I don't want a reminder that makes noise, and I prefer enough indication light so that I can see it from 20 feet away. So I use these to drive small, low power colored light bulbs vonnected through small "lamp socket to plug" adapters ("Comyan E26", also purchased from Amazon). My schedule is chaotic, so I set each one to go on and off for two differnt six hour intervals around the recommended pill time. After I take my pills, I push the button to turn out the light. It will come back on the next day. When I get older, I will probably take pills four times a day, so I can use all four intervals on two timers. For now, a different colored light for each different pill interval makes an easier reminder. Living 24x7 indoors during the Covid pandemic isn't easy. Every day is "blursday". Timed lights improve discipline and remove some of the blur. Well worth the small expense.

Quiet plug-in timer

Oh, I just love how you can't hear this timer. There is no spinning noise that you get with other timers. It was easy to program and works great.

ON/OFF Override button is EXACTLY what I needed

I needed a timer to automatically turn on a hard-to-reach lamp in the morning, and also be able to manually turn the lamp on and off when I need it. Any other timers I found were not able to do this without disabling the schedule. The door button feature is excellent; I can easily turn it on in the dark without feeling around for the correct button.

How to use

To reset from factory default time , insert toothpick into hole on bottom R of timer. Reset to current time of day am or pm by using up or down scroll buttons. When stops flashing, current time is set. Then you can set timer on and off by using up and down scroll buttons. Hope this may help if someone is technically challenged like me.lol

Program controls both plugs simultaneously, not each plug independently

Timer works well and is easy to program. It is also reasonably low profile so does not obstruct adjacent outlet. However, I purchased this in order to have each plug on a separate timed schedule, rather than having to buy two separate timers. Turns out, that even though there are two separate plugs on this timer, and two separate programs, the program controls both plugs simultaneously, not each plug independently. I should have read the description more carefully, as it does say “simultaneously,” but the looks are deceiving. There is one plug on the left, and one on the right; and the two timer settings (time on and time off) are on each side of the display panel. The logical inference is that the timer setting on the right side controls the right plug, and the one on the left controls the left plug. Not the case. Be warned.

Easy to setup, accurate and works

I trust Honeywell products. This indoor plug is fantastic. I use it for grow lights I have. Hasn’t failed on me. It can be used for anything you want to come on and off. Programming is fairly easy. Just remember it’s two prong plug, if you have 3 prong device you won’t be able to hook it up to this.
