Small fits 15.5"-18" circumference measured 6" above mid-patella and 11.75"-13.50" circumference measured 6" below mid-patella. Flimsy and uncomfortable, size specifications are incorrect

I tore my PCL in a bicycle wreck 40 years ago and have worn braces on and off since that time. For the last 10 years I've worn Motion Pro braces on a daily basis. Without a brace I feel a lot of pain, but with a brace, I've been able to hike, play sports, and walk an average of 2 miles per day without any pain at all. I haven't been able to find a motion pro brace, to replace the one that's getting a bit old, which is why I've been open to trying other knee braces. This unit from United Ortho is about half the cost of the Motion Pro and looked similar in the ad, but my experience with it has been disappointing. First, the brace was not straight so it put a slight lateral force on my knee that after an hour or so caused pain. Second, I measured my knee before buying, but this brace does not fit as it said it should, which made wearing it overly tight and uncomfortable. Third, as I wore it during the day the padding was inadequate (which I'm used to with other braces also, so I added extra padding on my shin). Finally, the material and latches do not seem nearly as durable as the Motion Pro braces I'm used to, so this might work for someone who merely has to recover from surgery, but for someone like me who is very active and wears a brace day in and day out, I don't think it will last. For the record, my last Motion Pro brace has lasted more than two years of constant wear, and it still works even if it's getting a little long in the tooth. It's what I'm wearing now, and it's very comfortable by comparison.

Best Knee brace ever

I have tried and used every knee brace available it seems and this is the best by far! After the last Knee injury I had I was thinking I would never be normal again without surgery, I could not walk for long before my knee would start grinding and popping and wanting to lock up. I started with a different brace that helped a bit and I realized that if I found the right brace I would in fact be mobile again. For the price I could not imagine I would get such quality. I needed a small as I have chicken legs and the hurt knee had shrunk my left leg to a skinny peg leg. Being a 6’2 185lb male it is hard to order a small and think it would fit. Well it did and after adjusting the straps and included pads I found the perfect comfortable fit. I went ROLLERBLADING for real. This was a big no no for me as my skates would pull on my knee in weird ways and cause pain. Another big improvement for me was being able to wade in the river to fish. The current would push on my knee sideways and I would go down in pain. This brace allowed me to do it all pain free. Such a score Pros: lightweight High quality materials great looking Awesome buckle QD system Washable padding and straps Leg will not twist in brace Low profile. Great Price( affordable without insurance) Cons: seriously NONE If you are considering a shock doctor or a Mcdavid you have to upgrade and will be amazed at how comfortable and supportive this brace is. It truly changed my life.

Send me the Wrong size

i order a large size and the send me XL and it does not fit in my knee , when i try to change the size was not allow for a smaller one because increase the price almost 200 $ more and just let me change for other things . otherwise look good quality

Good brace

I'm really not one to write these things, but as a brace (and I have had quite a number of braces), this is decent for an off-the-shelf device. It doesn't migrate a lot, which is a problem with many braces. I'm a physician who was a physical therapist and thus have professional experience to go along with personal history. Where this company lacks is in customer service. One of the metal tabs that serves as a quick disconnect for the strapping system failed after only a few weeks of use. I have called the customer service number a few times over the last several weeks and no response. That's disappointing, as I cannot really use the brace without a replacement. I'd give the brace itself 3.5 to 4 stars. Customer service a 0 to date.
