Great roaster

I like the versatility of this product and the size. I was between the All Glad and this one. The All Glad was too big for my needs. It is well made, and everything I cooked this far came out great.

I have wanted a Viking product well products forever I am now 63 and because of affirm I can buy this at $200 it helps I live in my kitchen do any kitchen items make great gifts for me My sister in law owned this and I always admired it as a teen now I own this great product I have used many times in her kitchen I am by no means a spender of money UNLESS the quality of something os great this is great GREAT this kid can be use too as I will use this Christmas for my au gratin potatoes I decided to treat myself I think you should too

I received the roaster as a Christmas gift. I loved it and purchased a 2nd roaster for our vacation home. I've cook multiple meals - turkey (14 lb.), scalloped potatoes, pot roast, etc. Great quality. Highly recommend.

Cook like a pro

This is just amazing! Roasted a chicken for my first try and it came out picture perfect! Used the lid to make a roux and then gravy. Truly wonderful product!

Now this is a Roasting Pan

So it came down to the All Clad Oval Covered Roaster and the Viking 3 Ply Roasting Pan. It was a difficult decision. Both met all my parameters, the most important being a thick, substantial pan Without a non stick surface. I want things to burn on them so that becomes part of the roux or sauce, which vastly improves the flavor. Something non stick pans cannot attain in my estimation. The All Clads' cover was appealing, but the more limited space led me to purchase the Viking, lots of real estate for any number of items. The added bonus of a chefs fork and knife which are very good also helped seal the deal. The handles on the Viking are excellent. You cannot go wrong with this roasting pan, and I am looking forward to Thanksgiving turkey coming out from this beautiful piece of cookware. Bon appetit.

Great Roaster

Dimensions incorrect - how hard can it be to measure something like this! They forgot to include the handles so it is wider than stated

Very well made pan.

It is a little on the expensive side, but it is a very sturdy and well made unit. Cooked our Christmas turkey in it and it turned out perfect. The pan was heavy but the handles made lifting fairly easy. If you don't mind spending the money, you will not be disappointed with this pan.

Impressive performance

Bought December, 2017 and it still performs flawlessly except for one cross bar in the middle of the rack that broke its weld. This does not affect performance but is disappointing. I put this through a lot of different techniques (roasting, sauteing, very long (8 hours) simmers, etc. and it never fails. Very easy to clean and comes out looking like new. At its worst, I use a little Bar Keepers Friend and it's perfect. Highly recommend.
