Experience even heat and exceptional release with Viking Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware. Constructed with heavy gauge anodized aluminum for durability and even heat distribution throughout the sides and bottom of the pan, Viking Hard Anodized Cookware features a stainless steel base making it exceptionally stable and compatible with all cooktops including induction. Accepted worldwide as one of the most conductive metals for cooking, the aluminum is strengthened through the anodizing process until it is twice as hard as stainless steel. Featuring nonstick, each piece is coated with three layers of durable nonstick coating to ensure maximum release and longevity, even when using metal utensils. The multi-layer coating improves release and protection even if the top layer is scratched over time. The fry pans feature flared rims for easy tossing and drip-free pouring, while the sauce pans, saute and Dutch oven feature cut rims to enhance the lid fit, helping keep moisture and nutrients inside the pan during cooking.

Quality!
1 qt. saucepans are pretty hard to find these days for some reason. I wanted a saucepan that was of upper end quality and well built with top notch materials. I love the 1 qt. size for oatmeal, poached egg and heating up soups and sauce. I gave my Emeril Lagasse 1qt. stainless steel pan with lid to my daughter, thinking I could just go online and find another one. No such luck. It's no longer available. It was made for Emeril by All-Clad. I suppose the agreement reached at end. After an exhaustive search online and finding a lot of cheap looking 1 qt. pans w/lid I came across this Viking saucepan in 1 qt. size! I WAS looking for stainless steel BUT this anodized non stick was worth a try, especially since it's supposedly free of chemicals and made to last years. I ordered it and was impressed by how quickly it arrived from Amazon. I was also impressed by the build quality. It's solid, heavy and extremely well built. After using it for a few different things I'm impressed by the even distribution of heat. I got this at a limited time price reduction but even at full price this is a piece of cookware that looks like it will last for many many years and worth it. If you're looking for a handy 1 qt. size saucepan and feel, as I do, that you get what you pay for, this Viking 1 qt. is GREAT!

Great cookware works with the cook
There are many makers of good quality cookware. Viking is one of these. You can pay more and often less........but none do the cooking for you. Viking will survive your culinary triumphs and failures

Very high quality, though pricey.
Bought this 1 qt saucepan after destroying our Allclad equivalent. Could not find a 1 qt Allclad replacement but this Viking seems to be just as high quality. It is pricey but we expect it to last a lifetime (as long as we don't destroy it by forgetting to turn of the burner and severely burning it down.

The Perfect 1-quart pot
My Le Cruset got too heavy with my age. Needed something lighter. I got tired of buying cheap 1-qt pots. I use this size all the time. However, have had to replace them every couple of years. The last one I bought was a Gotham Steel. Great performance but after 2 years, it started getting small pits in the copper colored coating. Life time warrantee was no good. Why? Manufacturer wanted me to send it back at my cost and insure it. Additionally, they wanted $9.95 for return shipping. When you stop and think about the inconvenience, buying a box, plus shipping both ways, and insurance, I could buy another cheap pot. I decided to shop around for something with a perfect handle and a pot/material of better quality. The Viking suits all my needs and I am very happy and feel it's worth the extra money. Even tho it is dishwasher safe, I wash it by hand. Cleans very easy. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the lid is not vented.

You can't go wrong!
I bought this pot to try out the Viking cookware before investing in the whole set. I had put some soup on to warm and forgot about it while I was on the computer until I smelled something and realized I forgot I had something on the stove. I turned off the stove and thought I ruined the pot because it looked like the coating inside had separated but it was just dry film from the food. I used a silicone spoon and scooped out dried out food left in the pan and it just came right out with ease and the pan was perfectly fine not burt marks in our outside the pan even the bottom looked brand new still. I'm convinced the quality Viking Cookware non stick surpasses anything else out there and last a very long time.
