Pretty good for the price.
For the price it is a pretty good paddle. Mine had several nicks and small bumps in the rubber right out of the box, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The pad under the rubber is a little thinner than I had hoped, and the ball control is not as good as a slightly higher priced paddle I bought for my brother a few years ago. However, if you don't want to spend a lot of money, but you want to replace the cheap paddles that come with many ping-pong tables, this is a great buy.

Beware Your Expectations
I picked up two of these paddles at an 'add on' item price of roughly five dollars each, what I expected to be a phenomenal deal. I mean after all, I was simply looking for some dining room table entertainment, not competing professionally :) Unfortunately however, I didn't even get that. Let me provide the following Pros and Cons to help future purchasers; Pros: Price! Sold by and Shipped by Amazon Amazon's return policy Cons: Paddles are not 5-ply as described, but rather varying degrees of physical dimension. If you order more than one, it's a gamble as to whether you'll receive identical paddles. I received two different size paddles; One 3-ply paddle 4mm thick with an 85mm circumference grip One 4-ply paddle 6mm thick with a 90mm circumference grip Paddles were completely sealed in plastic. When opened, they exhibited a very strong chemical smell. Granted, at the price I paid, I didn't expect professional paddles. However, I did expect them both to be closer in size than what I received. Even at the 'add on' item price of roughly five dollars each, I returned both different size paddles for a refund.

Good starter paddle
Thought I should spend a little extra money and get something better then the 4 dollar Franklin paddles, it's definitely worth the money and it hasn't worn down yet either with constant play probably for an hour a day. Pros: doesn't wear down, cheapish, has nice spin off of serves especially Cons: feels a little heavy

Bought a ping pong table for our family and decided to get a better than average paddle and we have not been disappointed . Overall very satisfied with entire purchase.

Item is only for very basic play
The Viper TT racket is only good for people who are thinking of starting to play table tennis. I have had this one for 2 months and now have changed with a much more better one( of course a costlier one). If you are only thinking of playing it for timepass, then it is ok. If you are thinking of getting serious with tt, this is not the one for you. It is a very basic one, anyways you can't expect much at this price. The sound it generates is really bad when I play. It feels like I am playing with a wooden.
