If you are considering it buy it

I gave this as a gift to a family friends daughter for Christmas. She loves unicorns and her eyes practically glowed when the lights turned on. It can be hard to find 18 month old gifts, but this was perfect.

Love it

My daughter loves it! 3 years old and she thinks it is great. Besides the loose pieces that come and off the unicorn that can be easily misplaced. There don’t seem to be any downsides.

Starshine is a majestic delight, whom my kids adore

My kids are unicorn fanatics! Star shine has found her spot in our magical house. My one year old and three year old love playing with her. No matter the setting they are having a great time while learning. From learning about the piece they put into the magic spots. To playing a game where they fond what the unicorn wants. In english and spanish. They just love this thing. Yes, the phrases are recorded. Yes, there are only 3 phrases per piece depending on the setting of play. But the repetition is good for children. Neither of my kids have any issues inserting or removing the gems from the unicorn either.

Difficult for 1 yr olds

*update* i deducted a star because after opening and being played with I realized it is difficult for my 1 year old now 16 month old to push in the gems so it's kind of pointless, we will have to wait until she is older to play with it I guess. Bummer Bought this as a gift for my 1yr old and it’s perfect! Bigger than I expected which is pretty cool

Daughters not in love and pieces can easily be lost.

This is very cute. It is sturdy. Very vibrant and the voice is loud enough. However, the little pieces to attach to it, always get lost which is why I knocked off a star. My daughter just isn’t too interested in it either though. So overall it’s a good toy just doesn’t work for us.

My 6 year old loves it even though it is marketed to younger children

Our 6 year old daughter loves this toy. It was all she asked for for her birthday and even though I kept trying to sway her that it was for younger children, I finally decided "who am I to make her grow up to fast?". She has been inseparable from this toy. She played the songs over and over for a 3 hour car ride the first day she received it, but the songs aren't chirpy or annoying (in my opinion). She loves it.

Great unicorn toy

Update: the battery saving mechanism is bordering ridiculous. My daughter gets frustrated with how fast it turns off, while she's just trying to sit back and enjoy the songs. I constantly have to go flip the switch for her and it's pretty annoying this toy is that high maintenance. My daughter was very excited to receive her new unicorn! It's adorable!
