Makes my dentist happy and great customer service!
I bought and started using this waterpik back in October. I had recently been having issues with gym disease and brushing with daily flossing still wasn’t enough. My dentist recommended using this daily and it made a WORLD of difference. I also really enjoy how clean my mouth feels and how soothing the massage on your gums feels. About a week ago (after 6 months of use) the “on/off” switch on the handle broke and I could no longer use it. I called the number provided by Amazon for waterpik’s customer service and they are sending a replacement part free of charge. I learned from their service department that I should do a monthly vinegar water rinse to make sure no hard water deposits are the culprit to what happened - a helpful tip! Overall, very happy with my purchase.

Great waterpik
This is my second unit. I love this waterpik. It's easy to use. I love that it's rechargeable and that I can use mouthwash (just a little) in the unit as long as we run warm water through it later to rinse out whatever was added. Great buy!

Compact Design and Easy to Use
For the price, this is a good product. Having it in black is a welcome change from white. Expect to get water sprayed around a bit until you get the hang of the pik holder and trigger. Although it has been some years, I seem to remember my past pik was more powerful. Perhaps people abused that and did some damage. This does augment floss and logic would suggest it provides the final cleaning....

A little disappointed - don't ditch your plug-in model
This is a 4 star review for one reason: Water pressure. Yes, I have very little counter space in my bathroom. I have an Aquarius model that I thought was going to have to be replaced (turns out it's okay), but every time I used it I would have to bunch up and shove the power cord behind it to get it out of the way, and it was a daily PITA. The idea of a rechargeable one (no cord!) with a slightly smaller footprint was irresistible, but I would not do this again unless I had no choice, especially considering it's so much more expensive than the corded models. (Why???) What I like: (a) No power cord (b) Flosser attaches to the unit magnetically (c) Waterpik has exceptional customer service and after troubleshooting my Aquarius, was ready to just replace the unit. What I really, really don't like: It didn't occur to me that battery power meant crappy water pressure. This is a SECOND / last choice, not a first. I use a very low pressure setting of 2-1/2 on my Aquarius and that's about all my gums can handle. On the Ion I'm using a pressure setting of 4 and I'm still not sure it's doing the same job. It feels completely different. You also apparently cannot unprogram it to stop for the first 3 30-second stops, as you can the Aquarius, and this one could REALLY use the ability to do that because it doesn't feel like a momentary stop, but more like a bunny hop. It's annoying. Also, once the installed battery gets to the end of its useful life, your Ion is garbage. They tell you how to remove and dispose of the battery, and also that that's the end of your Waterpik.

Easy Greasy
Easy fill, easy to use, easy to charge, and enough water to do all your teeth. I tried the handheld one, but it was just too bulky and ran out of water fast. This one just does a better job and the nozzle is easy to maneuver between your teeth.

It's a waterpik!
It has good pressure and comes with a decent amount of tips for different uses. One of the three I bought had a defective battery and it stopped charging after less than a month use. Further, the charge on the other ones does not last as long as they used to. For those living abroad like me, where it is not common to have a power supply or outlet in the bathroom, i would recommend it. Otherwise Water Pik offers the same product in a non-battery option. I have never had an issue with that, except for the usual wear and tear.

Sounds like a John Deer tractor!
Works well ... but it is loud ... magnetic feature with the pik wand is a definite plus. But it is loud :-)

Love it, perhaps I got a bad unit? Leaked after 1-2 months + on/off button, charge problems.
UPDATE July 19, 2022: After reading Waterpik's excellent support pages, I'm increasing my rating. I'd never cleaned it. I worked the valve in the tank open/closed (the valve is not one of the removable valves), I ran water + vinegar through the parts, flushed them all out with water, and charged it up fully again. It seems to be running like new; did not leak and gave full pressure. If I have to clean it every six months, that's OK with me. ORIGINAL review: I've been using this product for about 7 months. Functionality: GREAT! After 6 months, my dentist, who always bugs me about not flossing, needing deep cleaning, needing 3 or more visits/year, said my teeth and gums were better than they've ever seen them. They found no problems, and told me to just keep up the great work! I'm over 60 and sleep with my mouth open, so gum "pockets", gum disease, etc. is a real threat for me. It is also easy to use, and the charge usually lasted me at least 2 weeks with 1 use per day on highest setting (I had to get used to that setting, but after a few days, that was the setting I always used). The problem is with reliability. I can't have it leaking a big puddle of water onto my counter almost every time I fill it. I can't have the on/off button get stuck such that it on longer turns of or on, and I have to let it dry out and/or recharge it for hours before the button starts working properly for a few more days. BTW, I did not drop or abuse the unit in any way. I'll probably try a competing product to see if the functionality will be similar, but with more reliability. The one thing I'm sure of is I will continue to use some type of water flosser.

Loud noisy, overpriced.
This one is very expensive and it's no different than the generic Chinese brand one I bought for 30% of price of this one. Both do exactly the same, same operation noise level and same water tank size, both look almost same, but this one has very stiff water tube which makes using a bit awkward. This one has 3-year warranty but it will cost money to return it for repair and time lost if it is broken, I can buy 3 units of the Chinese one if needed. It's better for me to keep the $40 Chinese one, I returned this Waterpik one for refund. Why pay so much extra for advertising and marketing when you can get same thing and quality for less than 1/3 the price? Waterpik is overcharging.

geat in bathroom that doesn't have a close outlet
I have a stand alone sink and no counter . the electric outlet is on the far side . so this unit is ideal to put on the sink beside the tap . first time using a water pic. easy to use and lots of stuff comes out of mouth ! the water pic shuts off after four minutes with a pause every 30 seconds to mark the time till shut off. The unit has a limited tank capacity . if you use it on any setting greater than 8 you will run out of water before the machine shuts down. which is a shame because I would like to use it at full power. it's a bit noisy to use . the magnetic charging cable is unique and easy to use . Except for tank size I like this machine and would recommend it . As for traveling I have no experience with it .

Works great
Works great. Like that it's rechargeable rather than always having to be plugged in, so it looks good left on the counter. Nicely compact. My only wish is that the water reservoir be taller, to hold more water. I'm thorough with my water flossing and I find I have to refill before I'm done. I may have benefitted from a full size version, but I can make it work.

Easy to use and takes up very little space
I like that it is cordless, we have no spare outlet to plug a corded unit into. We can charge it in another room when not in use. The charge doesn’t last as long as 4 weeks, but that is probably because two of use it twice a day. It does a great job of cleaning.
