It wasn't built for heavy use

There are better polishers

The accessories that come with it shred on contact. The overall usefulness is not there. I tried it once to polish my Impala SS and when I started, the bonnet shredded and put swirl marks on the hood I need a buffer to remove. I worked at numerous used car lots and know what I am doing. This tool does not perform.

What you'd expect for the money

You get what you pay for. Used it to polish faded 1 stage paint on a whole car. It got really hot so I stopped 3 times to let it cool over the course of 4 hours or so. The speed control is very laggy. It bogs when pressure is added until it catches up and it overspeeds when pressure is let off. The speed control button is in a terrible spot and easily gets pressed during use. Overall it got the job done but would not recommend if you plan to use it a lot. Dewalt and Makita polishers are much better but they also cost 4x as much.

Works Good

Variable speed, it works well so far. I really have nothing to complain about. It slows when not on a surface. Adjusts easy. Occasionally it will change speeds when I accidentally hit the + - controls, because where they are located. Not a big deal.

The digital speed setting is a little finicky

It works OK, but because it has a digital speed circuit it slows down when some when you pull it from the work, and stalls easily when you hit something that is on a 90 degree plane to the buffing surface. Would have prefered a side handle vs. the top wrap around handle which prevents you from getting into tight spaces like boats when on a trailer, going to have to figure a way to mount a handle just on one side.

Depends on what you need it for!

Edit: I gave it away to a less fortunate detailer as I've upgraded to a cordless model. The WEN is STILL GOING. Edit: May 21, 2020 and still working. This thing has saved me so much time and labor. Edit: Still going strong after a year. I use this 3-4 times a day, 5 days a week. If it quit right now, I'd buy another instantly. I am a detailer (for 18 yrs now) and I bought this to use with a 4 inch wooden wheel brush to clean mats, interior carpet, headliners and cloth seats. It is fantastic for what I use it for. It is lightweight, so it is comfortable to use with one hand holding the grip or just one hand holding the head. It keeps steady rpms when used normally and speeds up when you apply heavy pressure. Great. Soft start, also great. I've used it sparingly to actually compund and buff and it's fine for the weekend warrior, but you're going to have to get a Dewalt or Makita if you want a consistent job and a smooth machine. Weight helps with compounding in my opinion and this tool just doesn't cut it for that. Definitely can't one hand it like the heavier high speed rotarys. Also, the pressure speed sensing is a little too touchy for paint correction. That being said, I was able to successfully wet sand and buff a roof, hood and decklid in around 45 minutes start to finish, but it's not something I wanna do with this machine every day.

Hang on

It took a bit of learning how to hold it so it doesn't want to run away on you. But on the lowest speed it did a good job of getting rid of the oxidization on my 5th wheel

Muy buena herramienta, con velocidad variable, fácil de usar y sujetar, solo la esponja o el paño es el que se debe tener cuidad al usar, ya que puede rayar las molduras del carro. recomiendo la pulidora
