Mine was broken but very pretty red lamp

I ordered this for my back stairs area and was happy with the red it’s very pretty … but I got the last one at the price - I was very disappointed to find the ‘plastic’ around where you screw in the light bulb had been broken (?) into pieces - returned. The price to replace on Amazon in a week rose up $15, so I went online and Home Depot had it for the $55 price and bought the black version (which works better for the house anyhow - although the red is fun)…and I noticed the prices at HD also were up on some versions/sizes. $55 vs $72 new price. I’d recommend the lamp - it’s a nice design, looks good in red or black, and works over a back door entry. Posting a pic of the black lamp.

Solid Construction - Appears to be Well Made - Happy with Purchase

Just opened the box, inspected the contents and - so far - I'm impressed. The unit FEELS solid and built for outdoor installs. No loose parts. No chipping paint. No flimsy metal that easily bends. We'll see how installation goes but so far this is a purchase I am very pleased with. Four stars for now. I intend to update this post once the unit is installed. If install proceeds smoothly and light operates as expected I will give 5 stars. UPDATE I've installed the light on the exterior brick wall of my unit. The electrical box is old, so the crossbar mounting screws supplied are too large. NBD, just used the old ones However, the unit is not flush with the wall. The mounting screws that the light is attached to are a little too long and the cap nuts only go so far (btw the cap nuts look a little small to me). Looking for a solution that provides a nice, flush mount.

Solid Construction

This is a nice simple design and the construction seems solid and sturdy with no flex between the shade and the wall plate. The two bolts that poke through the wall cover include "O" rings to put under the nuts that screw the lamp in place, no wrench or pliers needed, just finger tight. It will also accept any standard base bulb, LED or otherwise, no built in bulb. It does not seem to direct any light up, just out and down, so I guess that qualifies as dark sky compliant. I live in a coastal zone, 5 minutes from a river, 25 minutes from the ocean, so I will see how it holds up to the climate effects. Looks great so far.

Found just what we imagined

Love the galvanized light look. Put them on a metal building and they look awesome. Hubby likes that the bulb doesn’t hang below the bell.

Absolutely loved this light, unfortunately it didn't fit in the space I had designated it for. Happily I have a Westinghouse light fixture similar to the one returned item for my bathroom - won't be a complete loss.

Look great

I bought 3 of these to use on my garage and front door area. They are well made and fairly easy to install. They let off a lot of light and are a huge improvement over my old lights. They look great and I like that no one else in the neighbourhood has the same lights.
