For jobs that require extra strength, the newest and toughest of the Ultra/Pro line is Extra/Firm. NylonPlus filament, exclusive to Wooster, allows for superior stiffness and cut-in control. It’s able to maintain a sharp edge even in hot, humid conditions. Made from 100% nylon, Ultra/Pro Extra-Firm is very durable, and cleans much more easily than brushes that use polyester to achieve extra stiffness. It’s the perfect choice for all thick paints or primers and exterior use, as well as for edging walls and painting trim or woodwork. Ultra/Pro Extra-Firm has both excellent pickup and release to provide the fastest results. For the strong touch, look for the purple and black filament and the teal stamp on the handle. The Wooster Brush Company has been manufacturing innovative, high-performance painting tools right out of Wooster, Ohio USA since 1851. You can feel confident knowing Wooster is the name behind your painting tools.

Much better than locally available brushes (application and cleanup)
I have always been a do-it-yourselfer. Many years ago I built a large house and one of the components I did was painting, both inside and out. At that time, I purchased all my paint from the local Pittsburgh Paint store. I also purchased a variety of quality painting tools and supplies which are mostly still very usable. I purchased a number of quality Wooster brushes which (when taken care of) have served me well. Recently I (my wife) decided we were going to repaint the entire inside of our house. My tried and true 3" Wooster cutting brush has finally worn out. I purchased a new Purdy brush at the local Sherwin Williams (also sold at HD, etc.) paint store along with a large amount of paint and primer. I used it a couple times and it was usable but very difficult to clean. I scraped the paint from the handle on my old brush to determine it was a Wooster. I purchased this brush and it is a much better brush for application than the Purdy. But the most striking thing is that the cleanup was nearly effortless. A hard water spray down the bristles resulted in most of the paint just rolling off. A couple minutes of wire brushing and it was totally clean. I don't know what the specific bristle makeup is difference but the useability and cleanup is night and day. I think this brush will last another 25 years!

Not bad
Its a paint brush, I didnt notice much of a difference from the generic one I bought at big lots. It is still a really good brush and will do what you need it to do. It made cutting relatively easy after I got the hang of it. I have smaller hands and mild carpal tunnel so this wasnt the most comfortable brush I've ever used but it wasn't the worst. It isnt "easy" to clean, but I haven't met a paint brush that is yet. After a few minutes under the hose it seems ok. Just keep on top of cleaning/storing and it shouldnt be a real problem. I am not upset I bought it and continue to use it.

Very good brush
Cuts-in it’s very cleanly with thick fast drying paints. Cleans okay, too

Love Wooster Brushes
I will never paint with anything but Wooster. Cuts like a lazer, holds a good amount of paint, Bristled do not wilt, break down or loose precision from getting over saturated. However paint brushes are very personal, this might not be the best brush for you, but I have tried all the mid range and high end brushes, and for me Wooster is the best.

Great 3" cut-in brush
This brush is great for cutting-in. It holds a lot of paint and is firm enough to get a precise line. It is pretty heavy, but that is what you get with a 3" brush. I will probably go back to a 2.5" brush next time, but if you need 3", this is the one.

best ive used
best brush ive used, its perfect for cutting in.. you make really straight lines and the brush holds a good amount of paint. Its also really easy to clean and keeps its shape.. try keeping it in the package it comes in to keep the edge shape of the brush longer.
