Nice sound, nightlight not very bright
I wanted to write a review because there weren't many when I bought this. This machine has worked pretty well for us. I bought it for our bedroom to use as a sound machine and night light when our baby was born. The sound aspect is as expected for being a Dohm. It's nice and loud and has volume up and down buttons to customize. The nightlight part I was hoping would be bright enough to do nighttime diaper changes with, but it isn't. Its only bright enough to see furniture outlines so we don't stub our toes but not really sufficient for much else. We leave the light on all night as we take shifts with the baby. So don't buy this if you want a bright light but it does work well as a sound machine and I think it looks much nicer than the original white plastic Dohm.

What’s not to like?
It’s a solid machine built well. I had one of this kind when they first came out in the early 70s. I liked it then and have no idea of what happened to it. Anyway I have tried many different kinds of sleep machines with no luck. Many of them are loop and you can hear it happening. It interrupts the pattern. This gadget has no loop. It is a real fan that does the work.. I only want white noises and it’s all this does.It’s very adjustable sound wise and easy to operate. It has two speeds which is great for sound levels. I had it plugged in and running the first night and since. It’s an oldie but goodie.

Very good item
I only used this for one night, but I like it very much. The sound control is excellent, and it is loud enough to block out a lot of outside noise when I sleep. This machine has only one sound choice, like a fan sound. I don't like the noise machines with multiple noise choices, so this is the one for me. I hope it lasts for many years like my old noise machine.

Simply the best
This is the best sound machine ever. I take it with me when I travel. The basic white (brownish) noise it exudes is perfect.

Drowns out noise
My sons bedroom is on the second floor of our home. We have very high ceilings making the tv etc echo. This sound machine drowns out the noise. He sleeps 12 hours a night uninterrupted. Get the sound machine.

Works great!
We got this to replace our last sound machine that ran beautifully for over 3 1/2 years non-stop. It’s loud enough to drowned out traffic noise and the creaking of the stairs outside my daughters room, but not loud enough to distract her from falling asleep.
