Not as expected
I ordered the 9 inch and didn't receive that one. I also didn't get the pestle. It's not the rough volcanic rock that authentic ones are made of. It's also very shallow. Disappointing. It was supposed to be a birthday gift and I am embarrassed to give it.

Arrived damaged
This is my first Amazon review. First, the item is a great size and nice. When it arrived it was broken because of the weight and wrapped only in paper so very little padding. For me, since the breaks are off of the ears and it doesn’t look to bad I’m just gonna keep it because my salsa needs made. Generally when items arrive broken I will return them. I think this probably happens a lot with this item. I will give this 3 stars because I think the product is good but arrived damaged do to bad packaging. The final test will be from use .

Good quality
Very nice item, it’s made from the real deal. It’s smaller than I thought since the “walls” are a little thicker but still decent size It has some flaws but I did not expect perfection. Great purchase though

Genuine lava stone, very beautiful, very well protected in the package, wrapped and double boxed. Can't wait to season it and start using. I might get a second one from this maker.

Nice quality
Arrived in perfect condition, put dry rice in it and ground it to a power to get any loose bits off, and it works great, heavy, good quality, and will last forever
