Protect your animals with the Zareba 50 Mile AC Low Impedance Fence Charger. This powerful 2-joule energizer controls a variety of animals, including pigs, llamas, horses, cattle, and more. Besides keeping animals in, it will also help to keep wildlife out. This 50 Mile Charger will power through heavy weeds with its strong output, although a well-kept fence line is ideal. Extreme vegetation and poly products will reduce the overall power of the fence energizer. The more material along the fence line, the harder the energizer must work to pass voltage through the line. This UL-listed energizer will plug into any standard 2 prong electrical outlet and should be protected from the elements. Built in the USA, this energizer is tested with a full load at our manufacturing facility and comes with a 2-year warranty. This warranty includes damage from lightning and can be extended to 3 years by registering online.

Built in the USA - Full-load tested in the U.S. after manufacturing - 3-Year Limited Warranty including lightning damage. Powerful Enough for Large Animals - With 2.0 output joules, it will support animals and livestock such as cattle, horses, pigs, and goats. Durable Design - The charger's rugged, heavy-duty cabinet protects the circuitry from weather extremes. For All Fence Types - AC-powered charger for all types of electric fences, including high tensile, polywire, and polytape. Works in Heavy Weed Conditions – Energizes up to 50 miles of electric fencing in ideal conditions (no weeds), up to 25 miles in light weeds, and up to 12 miles in heavy weeds.

Very powerful, my set up generated 9,000 K at the end of my run
Really like the product and it puts out quite a bit of a punch however this is my 2nd one. I purchased one a little over a year ago and it quit working HOWEVER the manufacturer did a excellent job of providing a email Return Label on it while I was on the phone with them and will warranty the product so I will have a instant backup in the event this one goes bad. The only reason I gave it 3 stars rather then 5 was because the first one did not last as long as I expected. However I will give them 5 stars in customer service and immediate followup.

Works
Make sure to use proper grounding. The manual indicates it needs 3 6 foot ground rods. My wife purchased 3 3 foot ground rods, it was not enough, had to get extra ground rods, once proper grounding was installed/hooked up, it works great, it keeps our critters inside the yard in.

This photo of the electrocuted cow convinced me to buy.
I grow cannabis in my back yard for recreation, medicine and survival funds. Last summer I had a few drones flying overhead and some neighborhood lowlifes made 3 attempts to take some. I had built up the fence higher and they had left an old wood step ladder and a bar stool on the sidewalk. My 2 yr old German Shepard alerted me and his aggressive barking sent them back to mama. I upgraded and added more HD security cams and I have infrared motion detectors and motion flood lights. I'm also installing this electric fence around the top perimeter with a ground wire running alongside. While chopping weeds I accidently touched both wires with my shoulder and holy moly, it hurt, buckled my knees and burned for a few hrs and it was thru my clothing. The rancher's photo of the dead cow belly up convinced me to purchase this unit. Not just to keep the bad guys out but also to keep my dog Rambo from jumping up trying to get at the cats and possums. He hates electricity and is such a good dog when his remote controlled electric collar is on and hopefully he survives getting the holy ship shocked out of him.

It works.
I had to replace my old electric fence. It was a 15 mile one I bought many years ago from TSC. I had to place many ground rods to make the old fence really "bite". I read the reviews on this product and it was one of the best per ratings. It was quick and easy to install. When I tested it.... it had a strong pop!! Now fast forward to a few weeks later... I was walking my fence line and checking the line. I had a pair of plyers that I have always used to twist the wire to keep it tight. Boy does that thing bite!! I didn't realize that the plyers had a bare spot on them... after getting struck by lightning, flinging my plyers, and a few choice words... I realized this thing works much better than my old one... Fyi... I found my plyers 20 minutes later. Since then I had a few other accidents and I have to say. It works great!!! My 1200 pound bull agrees with me too!

Excellent
It works great. I have it on three strands to keep in my horses and pig, and to keep out raccoon's with a low wire just inches off of the ground. I ran three ground rods like the instructions recommended, and I have all three lines going about 4,000 feet each. The tester that I bought goes up to 8,000 volts, and at the end of the line, it reads the full voltage on the tester. I have no idea if it's higher then that, or how much higher. On some days, when the soil is moist, it will zap yo if you are just standing close to the wire. It will jump about an inch to get you. My horses have all tested it at least once, and probably only once. It's really something to see their reaction the first time it happens. Have you every seen a 16 hand horse jump straight up in the air, come down and spin away as fast as she can move? It's impressive!!!! Several times I've had something happen to my bottom line. One time I think it was probably wild hogs because it was all tore up off of my posts and laying in a mess on the ground. Then a branch fell on it and when wet, was grounding itself out. I've had plants grow up to the wire and also ground it out when wet, and just yesterday a grasshopper got between the wire and the metal T post. In every case, you can hear the popping of the electrical current snap as it grounds itself out. You can also see the spark, or flash of electricity on each surge from the charger. The charger keeps on working when this happens, which is why I gave it five stars.

It will hurt ya
Three stars on the weather review because mine has never been exposed to weather. But this thing works..easy to set up and good for a heavily weeded fence

Fantastic Snapper!
It's a nice small box. Powerful snap! I accidentally dropped the tester line and touched my finger when I auto reacted to grab it. Wow! The joint throbbed for a few hours after hahaha. I allowed a friend to pasture his horse in with mine. My horses never touched the fence after my very very old energizer quit working a few years back. I'm sure my guys told him the fence bites but after a few weeks, to my horror, this horse showed them the beauty of reaching for greener grass. Unfortunately my untouched fence was being brutally trashed. I guarantee the second he screamed, they ALL said I told you so. A feeling of sheer delight washed over me as that 1400lbs fence wrecker got taught a lesson in manners.

powerful zap
powerful and solidly built to help protect your large garden delivers a powerful zap to pests and will definitely have them think twice about crossing into your protected area no issues in performance watch out for those damp rainy days as this will cause easier grounding and loss of power - keep the lines clear and all works fine do not touch the hot wire - you will definitely remember and avoid it the next time

Great product!
Replaced my 5 mile fencer with this. Been using for 2 months now, dogs don't go near it at all and had a few animals "try" coming in the yard. Chickens don't care, too dumb to get zapped I guess.

works amazing
This is a great fencer. We use it for horses and it works very well even for those who can be hard on a fence
