Rich, smooth lather, overpowering scent
I wish that I had looked a little more closely at the ingredients on this before ordering it. I wasn't sure what "Original Scent" would be, but if I had looked at the ingredients list (which is apparently the same for all the scents) I would have seen that it is lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, and patchouli. I'm not a big fan of lavender or patchouli and those two are quite over powering. I don't notice myself smelling like it throughout the day, but in the shower, it's very strong. As a shampoo bar, I'm not sure I love this. I'm not sure if it's stripping my hair or leaving a residue, but it sometimes leaves my hair feeling a little rough and crunchy. It doesn't dry my scalp out or make me itchy, which is nice, and my hair doesn't feel oily. During the winter I get really bad dry skin, so I'm tempted to put this bar away now that I've used it for almost the entire month of June and bring it back out again in January to see how it does. I've actually been surprised how much I like this as a body soap despite having bought it with the intention of using it as a bar shampoo. It makes a great lather that is smooth and non-drying and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or stretched out after a shower like some soaps do. The packaging has labels indicating that it is vegan, not tested on animals, and gluten free (does that really matter if I'm not eating it and how many soaps are made with gluten anyway?), but the fourth ingredient is palm oil and they don't mention any sourcing for that. Almost all palm oil sourcing is destructive to orangutan habits and you would expect the company to want to tell you that theirs is orangutan friendly.

Good shampoo bar, but missing a couple details
I personally like shampoo bars. Shampoo in a bottle means you're mostly paying for water - including the shipping costs for that water in a bottle to get to you. With shampoo bars, that's not the case! This shampoo bar lathers up nicely and smells very nice. For me, it does everything that's needed. If you have a lot of hair (or especially thick hair), you'll probably want to supplement with a conditioner from time to time, but as a whole, this is good stuff. But then...there are some downsides. For the price, it's not cheap (over 10 bucks at time of review.) You could get a big bucket of shampoo for that price at a box store. What makes it more unfortunate - for me, I leave this shampoo bar in my shower, so it never has a chance to dry. Which makes the bar get used up that much faster. So unless you're willing to relocate the bar when done washing (or shampoo in a sink rather than shower), you may not see a good value here. All in all, a good product but not quite right for me.

First time using shampoo bar
This was the first time I ever used a "soap bar" for cleaning my hair and scalp. It felt weird at first (being used to using a bottle with "lotion-y" or liquid shampoo for decades), but then I got used to it ... just think of it as using the way you would lather soap for you body, but for your hair! Smells good, and I feel as though I am cleansed after use. I don't have a dry scalp or dandruff, so I can't comment on those stated benefits. Anyhow, the other added benefit is that you are not using a plastic bottle, so it feels more environmentally friendly.

Wonderful scent, easy to use but contains palm oil
For a while now I've been trying different shampoo bars to avoid adding yet more plastic to the piles of wasted plastics on this planet. Most have been decent to good. Initially I thought this was one of the best, but as my PS explains, I've noticed a kind of buildup which I attribute to the many oils in the product. The scent is light and fresh, it lathers easy and rinses clean. I especially appreciate that the product is vegan--no animals suffered to bring me shampoo. The ingredients are healthy too (though see comment on palm oil). I got it free through the vine review program so I can't comment on the value. It came in cardboard and was not wrapped in plastic and I appreciated that. One strong negative is that it contains palm oil, and that makes it not a good environmental choice as the palm oil plantations are destroying ancient forests. However, the product does state that it uses sustainable practices. Who really knows? I am sorry I did not notice the palm oil before I ordered it as I try very hard to avoid buying products with palm oil (though this is nearly impossible.) PS After using this a few times, I've noticed a kind of waxy build-up, perhaps from the several oils in the product. It is tending to weigh my fine hair down, though it does leave it very shiny (flat, but shiny). Perhaps for someone with dry, thick hair, this would not be a problem, but for anyone with fine or oily hair, the many oils in the product might be too much. It does work fine as a body soap, however.

Good soap, not a conditioner
I love the idea of shampoo as a bar. It's easier to take along when traveling by airplane (no liquid), and it doesn't require any plastic bottles to go into the trash when it's finished. To use a shampoo bar, you basically just rub the bar into your hair for a few seconds, and then lather throughout your hair. I have fairly short hair, and I was able to get a lot of lather from just a little soap. Based on my initial usage, I think this bar will last for a long time. I should mention that the bar itself smells *really* nice! The shampoo seems to clean my hair well. However, it does not condition my hair at all. So when I'm done my hair feels a bit dry. Not *problematically* dry, but still not as nice as my 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. I think this shampoo bar will be my first choice for when I'm traveling. A single bar should last through a long trip, and obviously it will be lighter and easier to transport than a big bottle of shampoo.
