Buy the brand name

These metalized tapes are something where you should buy the brand name. I have tried off brands and they are not as good. These are the right thickness and they stick like crazy. It is well worth any extra cost.

Works really well!

I used this to insulate the top of a snake tank because it had a grated top and it worked really well to keep the humidity there's plenty of it and it sticks for a very long time

Thin, thin and thin.

I thought being 3M, how could I go wrong. First this foil tape is thin, so thin it will tear like paper. It needs to be applied in short sections because if the run is off it will tear apart if you try to lift and adjust. Being so thin it is easy for the tape to arc which starts the problem especially if you’re doing a lateral seam by feel. It will seal ducts if you handle carefully. Update: I upgraded my review. Used to seal HVAC ductwork. It did the job so it was worth the cost. Also being thin if you run into an issues you can easily tear off the part if it so warrants.

Just what I needed.

I found so many gaps in my venting that needed taping and with this I was not only able to seal those gaps but also improve the heat distribution too.
