Best for laser cutting and engraving wood

I've tried a bunch of name brand and generic masking tapes and this is easily the best for wood. NOT THE EASIEST TO USE, but if you learn to use it properly it has the best results. It is very sticky, so you need to either heat it up in the microwave or with a heat gun/hair dryer and it will come off the roll easier. I recommend wall mounting it and using two hands to evenly pull it out. I've purchased many already and will continue to use as it's easily the best results for engraving and cutting wood (plywood, MDF, hardwood, etc..) with my Universal Laser 50w

Quality is not the best

This tape seems good, but when trying to tape something it strip apart and I can't get a full coverage without breaking. Will not recommend.

Great product for the money!

Use this to stop scorch marks while laser engraving items in a side business. This product works great! Quality is some of the best I've purchased and quantity is great for the price. I'm not sure what other reasons you'd use this for but I'm sure there are many, but for laser engraving you can't beat the value.

Should have read the reviews.

I should have read the reviews before purchasing this but I saw that it was from 3M and thought it would work well. The tape itself would probably be perfect for what I need it for if I could only get it to come off the roll in a solid piece! I have spent more time than I'd care to admit trying to just get it to come off in anything more than tiny little strips. Very frustrating for the money that I spent on it that it's a complete waste!

10" - 201 is amazing tape, once you learn how to use it. It's nearly impossible to remove from roll without tearing, at room temperature. However 10" 201 comes off the roll best at around 120- 150 degrees Fahrenheit. We literally use the kitchen oven to preheat each roll @ 150degreeF. Works like a dream. We use it for material hold down on our large format CNC.

Great product for masking areas to be laser marked

Great product for masking large areas to be laser engraved. Smooths nicely with a straight edge/squeegy to prevent charring on wood and leather projects.

3M?

There's no way this tape was made by 3M. 3M tape is always easy to use and a good product. Every time I attempted to peel a piece of tape off of this roll it started to tear. I went through about two feet of it trying to get a piece off and I had no luck. So it's being returned.
