Great size!

I was worried about the size of this popper. I previously had my eye on a 4oz. I am so glad I decided to go bigger. This is still very compact and fits in any corner nicely. Haven't popped anything yet but wanted to comment on the size.

Need to use coconut oil.

Works as intended. The popcorn was coming out hard & chewy, so I experimented with different kinds of popcorn & found white corn & coconut oil works the best.

pretty good popcorn machine

easy to clean and is built kinda weak. but it is sturdy. using regular popcorn will have good results.

Surprisingly great popcorn machine!

I really like this machine. It's a nice size for a small event as it will only pop 8 oz worth of popcorn at a time. But it pops so quickly that you can easily pop several rounds if you are having a larger function. I had worried that I would end up with a machine that did neither very well (either too small or too large) but I really do think it is the perfect size. It's easy to clean and it actually blends in quite well with our home decor (considering it's a popcorn machine) in that I didn't want something that seemed to scream, "I'm at the circus!" It was easily assembled - and didn't require any further tools. The only issue I had was that the top came in with a considerable dent. When I contacted the company, they quickly sent out a replacement top. And while it was not an entirely simple fix, it was easy enough and I didn't have to try to return the machine. The most surprising aspect is that I had bought this machine for special events for an organization that I am a part of. I am a purist when it comes to popcorn - only doing stovetop. But this machine is actually better than stove top - and certainly a heck of a lot easier. We are using it much more than I would have ever expected! It's really not one of those gimmicky items. Oh...and use coconut oil. Just plain simple coconut oil. It makes all the difference!

semi annoying to clean, works well and cute

Looks cute. All the mechanism works well. It is annoying to clean out if you are doing more than one batch. But still cute and works well. One of the wheels was bent and so is a bit wonky when moving the machine around (not annoying enough to return as I needed it for an event) Hint: Its easiest to buy the premade and measured pouches but I also have used just coconut oil, salt and kernals on hand If you are doing large batches clean out the "kernal" catcher tray often. I made the mistake of not doing this and it was so full I had a very diffulult time removing it. Flash forward to vacuum out kernels to get its unstuck. Pretty sure there are still some rogue ones stuck in the back I coudn't reach or shake out by carefully tipping the container. I am a busy mom with younger kids so anything time consuming to clean is annoying-at least if you dont want to glass to fog up with grease

Great Popcorn Machine. Poor customer Service from this dealer!

We just purchased this for the "Man Cave". I almost gave it a 1 star, but had to stop and realize that I am reviewing the product and not the company. We really like the popcorn machine. Seems to be quality and the popcorn is delicious. Looks great as well. I can't say the same for the company we bought it from (Discount Tommy). They failed to include some of the "FREE" items, which happens, but when contacted,they made me jump through hoops to prove that I purchased the item that were un-necessary. They have copies of invoices, not to mention shipping documentation. I personally don't like to purchase from this type of company and won't purchase from them again. I would recommend the popcorn machine, but if would recommend that you buy it from someone other than Discount Tommy.

Great Product!

This was just for home entertainment but it works great and it tastes wonderful! It even works to pop the popcorn in the morning and leave it all day as there is a warming lamp. Would recommend!

Fun novelty

Came with no directions, so that was exciting. Had to look them up online. Not too hard to assemble once you know what you're doing. The grandkids have great fun with it. My only complaint is that the front glass door doesn't always stay latched and the metal piece below it that flips down so you can scoop out the popcorn is kind of flimsy- it doesn't want to stay in its grooves. Plus it's held in the upright position by the glass door, it doesn't have its own latch which makes things a bit awkward. Still great fun, though and good popcorn!
