well built

Overall this product is well built. it did not sit perfectly tight into our vent opening so will need to secure down with some double sided tape.

I wasn’t sure if the register would fit, but fits perfectly to size measurements. Easy to open and close register. Has an elegant look. Low profile so you don’t trip over it. Would recommend purchasing.

Exactly what I expected

They look great. They are sturdy enough that you can step on them (not jump up and down and have a hoorah) and not worry about having them break. The top is metal, and the bottom is plastic. I think if you are looking for registers at this price, you will love them.

Checks all the boxes

Number 1 for us was looks. We bought a few types. This one was the winner. Cast aluminum was too thin and bent when stood on, this one didn’t give at all with light bouncing on it. I don’t really care about the plastic louvers, they fit nicely into my registers and I doubt they’ll be removed and dropped or anything. We have dark walnut floors and these blend gorgeously in oil rubbed bronze. Plus they’re the cheapest ones we looked at. Five stars

Style, Function, and a Perfect Fit

**Independent review. No compensation received.** After looking at local hardware stores I decided (as usual) to check on Amazon and I'm glad I did. The price for a similar item was almost double and the only difference was the vent closure on this item is plastic instead of metal. Whether you're looking for a stylish, unique cover or are a mother who needs something that little fingers can't get stuck in (like me), this is a great investment. So Moms and Dads, if you have a little stinker who figured out that it's not only fun to drop things IN the vent, but it's also a blast to tear the metal vent cover OUT of the floor, this will fit snugly and near flush to the floor, thwarting their devious plan to make the house reek of fermented lunch meat and grapes! Buy a vent trap too though, in case your efforts are viewed as a challenge to mash smaller pieces down there. ;-) Thankfully my little guy hasn't upped his game...yet. I was going to make a "pros and cons" list, but since I don't view the plastic closures as a problem, I don't see any negatives to list. • True to manufacturer stated size - 12x4 • True to color, but a little darker than I expected. See photos - vent is near dark stained oak trim on my patio door for reference. • SNUG fit! Near flush to floor. You won't be tripping on this like the old, 10-pound metal ones. • Slider for vent closure is smooth and easy to move. • Very small openings, no need to be super careful when sweeping. DOES NOT impair air flow though, I was very surprised. The only thing I see that could be an issue for some is the aforementioned plastic closures, but they won't receive any pressure from stepping and seem extremely sturdy, so don't let that change your mind! Very nice floor register that fits in perfectly with the dark hardwood floor; much better than the ugly white one I had! Although the main part is metal, the shutters/vents are plastic and somewhat flimsy I think (I had to return the first because one of the shutters was snapped off upon receipt). Overall though, I'm very happy with this purchase, especially since the register's dimensions aren't common and it's hard to find nice designs.

Beautiful upgrade

This is a beautiful upgrade from the 'old school's type of floor registers. Well built, sturdy and gorgeous; easy to shift louvers and pops into existing vent work. I painted my two bathrooms bright and cheerful and then, ordered these registers to complete the job! I'm very happy with this product!

Beautiful

I am very happy with these registers. I got them on sale, and wish I bought more but they went back to the original price. Great deal on sale. They look beautiful with my tiled floors. Easy to open and close the registers with the little lever.
