Fun Purchase

I have only taken a couple shots with this in the backyard at squirrels. My wife is a bit nervous the neighbors won't be a fan. The 2 I shot hit short of the target at about 20 yards (probably my own fault). But I haven't had time to really get test them out. Next month when I head out to a buddies farm I am going to tinker around a bit more with them Con 1) I didn't expect them to burry in the ground so easily. But I don't see myself shooting small game at any further distance.... 20 yards was pushing it....

True Flier.

They shoot true, and hit pretty hard. I use them to stump shoot and they have performed as expected. The only thing i can say against them is they do not encourage the arrow to stand up in the grass like I thought they should. The arrows still bury deep and it takes a while to find them.

Defective threads

Only one of the points in the pack I received had the right thread size for standard inserts. The other two are useless. I might understand if all three were threaded for (and advertised for) that new DeepSix thread, but different ones in the same pack? I don't even know if that's the thread the other two have. Come on, now! I had a couple other packages of Allen points and had to make sure they all threaded properly, and luckily they did. I can't speak to the performance of these, for obvious reasons.

Good for smaller game.

Shoot well but only use on very small game. Tried a racoon with one, direct shot to the temple from 10 yards and barely fazed him a bit. Maybe birds or squirrel. Didn't need to adjust, shot like a field tip.

It's a decent tip and it gets the job done ...

It's a decent tip and it gets the job done when it comes to shooting and killing small game. The drawback is that the threading doesn't fit in your arrows. Needs to be tightened after every shot.
