Gets the job done, but not as effeictive.

This does not work as effectively as a traditional bypass humidifier. It consumes a lot of water Vs what makes it into the air. I think they need to work a heating element into this to make it more efficient as a humidifier. I tossed the included humidistat and let my ecobee premium control it. You don't need 24V to control this, all you have to do is short the thermostat terminals, so using a different humidistat is very easy. It's a great unit and solves a problem for those of us without fan forced heat. It's also a clever install and easy to hide. It just needs some improvement.
