This AprilAire 5845 Humidifier Installation Kit contains all components for step-by-step installation of an AprilAire Whole Home Fan Powered Humidifier with Automatic Control, Model 700. No need to purchase this kit!

The Aprilaire 700 was fine but the recommended installation kit is not worth what they are charging. The only thing I could use from the installation kit was the water supply line and some of the thermostat wire because I had to purchase pvc pipe to handle the drain from the humidifier. I could have purchased what I needed for the installation for probably have the installation kit price.

I would recommend using copper tubbing instead of the plastic. Could use more footage on the wiring.

Overpriced, doesn't work.

This kit is horribly overpriced, but the worst part is it doesn't even work! The wires they provide are not long enough to reach where the temp sensor is supposed to go - I need at least 33ft to get outside but the longest wire is only 25ft. Then there's the PEX supply tubing which seems too flexible so the compression olive doesn't seat properly and won't seal making it spray water all over. I don't know if I can return this since I tried to use it but I think I'm sure going to be trying to return it -- so far its been 100% useless to me.

Too expensive for just a couple of basic cables

I see that Aprilaire is taking advantage of its customers. As you purchase their equipment, you obviuosly need the basic wiring for installation, so they make you pay ridiculous money for something that should be included in the package.

Didn’t buy it because pictures and description doesn’t show fittings for water line
