Fun for family dinners!
We love eating hot pot and decided to spring for such a pot so we could eat it at home. The set-up is simple - place the top on the base and plug it in… We love having the two different ‘zones’ so we can make one spicy for us and another a standard broth for the kids. We kept some water nearby to top off as needed since quite a bit steams off during the whole meal. My only concern was how well the top will stay firmly on the base (i.e. that it could tip over), but this seems to be a pretty standard design so I don’t think it’s a specific issue with this product. Either way, would happily recommend to anyone looking to do hotpot at home!

Works Amazing!
Initially, I was hesitant about purchasing this hot pot because it was not split down the middle like traditional ones. However, after using it for several large family gatherings, I can confidently say that it was an excellent choice. Upon receiving the product, I conducted a water test with food coloring in two different sections of the pot to check for leaks and was pleased to find none. Even after several months, the pot remained leak-free. One feature that I particularly enjoy about this hot pot is its magnetic connection to the heating plate underneath. This ensures that even if the table gets bumped or shifted, the pot will not tip over. But at the end of the night, it's a breeze to put it straight into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient hot pot option.

It’s a good quality product
I had a few hotpot in the past, and I wasn’t really impressed with the quality. After reading some bad reviews about this product, I was hesitated to buy, but with this reasonable price I want to give it a try, to my surprise the quality exceeded my expectations, and I didn’t experience any problems on others bad reviews. For example, the two compartments can heat up evenly and quickly at the same time, and the center compartment is quite big, plus I really needed a small pot and a big pot. So, this one really serves me well. After I added my favorite hot spicy in the bigger pot, I just added clean water in the middle pot, there’s no leaking at all. After a few meals with this hotpot, so far so good, maybe I will write another review a few weeks later.

Very concerned about this product... will return for refund
The media could not be loaded. I've been looking for a good hot pot to make shabu shabu, and many of the physical characteristics of this Aroma product were exactly what I was looking for. Central bowl for soups, external ring for a shared cooking experience, and a plug-in heating element so it could be used easily at the table. I give the product high marks for all these needs, but I have big concerns in other areas. Here are my findings and comments that hopefully will help others decide to purchase or not: 1 - It's an induction heater, so just like an induction kettle it is LOUD when heating. Some have posted comments about huge concerns about "what is going on???" but the clicking and popping is no different than any induction water kettle and quite normal. See the attached video to get a good example of the noise while heating. Overall, I will say that noise-wise it's like an induction water kettle times 4 as far as loudness... the expansive metal bowl structure and glass top seems to amplify the noise and personally it's way too loud for me. Hard to even talk over the din. 2 - The first time I used the product it smelled like burned rubber or plastic. We had read other reviews stating this and when we first turned it on we were concerned enough to have a fire extinguisher handy just in case. I think this may be just some oils or something left over from the manufacturing process because the 2nd and 3rd time I tried testing the product the smell was gone. 3 - The lid seems like it will shatter at any moment and does not form a tight seal. I wish I could show my other video (reviews are limited to 1) with the unit boiling because you see some steam going through the vent hole but most of the steam ejecting around the edges of the glass top in an unpredictable manner. Easy to get a steam burn when trying to remove the top. In addition, as the boiling really heats up the glass top you hear loud creaks and cracks as if the glass is breaking. I think it's thermal expansion around the metal exterior ring, but VERY concerning. Seems like the top will shatter at any moment as others have reported actually happening. 4 - Finally, as the unit comes to a rolling boil it really quiets down as you would expect for an induction heater. The problem is for many hot pot dishes you want a gentle boil or barely boiling at all. This is the fundamental flaw of the design unfortunately... it's either "off" induction heating or "on 100%". So, if you put it say on "medium" in an attempt to get a slow boil, what you get in reality is a quick cycle from "not really boiling" to "full rolling boil" then off until it's not really boiling, etc. It's like having a car that only has the ability to coast or put the throttle on at 100% and try to go 30 miles per hour... but it only stops accelerating at 60 mph and then lets you coast back to 29 mph. Of all the issues with this unit, it's #4 that killed it for me and I will be returning. TLDR; It's incredibly loud most of the time, smells like the unit is burning up when you first use it (but goes away), sounds like the glass lid will shatter at any moment and doesn't fit well enough to avoid steam burns, and can't hold at a gentle boil.

Works well for what It does
Works well for what it does. I’d recommend putting food coloring in each cavity. Look at the attached photo. Do each separately, put water with food coloring in one and just water in the other. Heat it up for about 30 minutes. If there is any leaks you’ll see the color in the one with plain water. Empty and repeat the process but put water in food coloring in the one that was plain water and plain water in the one that had food coloring. Heat and see if there are any leaks.

I received a garbage !
I have wanted to buy an electric hot pot for a long time. So, when I saw this hot pot, I liked it very much, and it was exactly the style I wanted. Without hesitation, I bought it. However, what I received was a pot with a broken outer package and a bumpy inside. It was obvious that this pot had experienced more than one owner. I was very angry at the moment. It seems reasonable to give them a three-star rating, right?

Works great!
I'm using this for hotpot and have used it several times now. You can put two different broths in the two compartments, and there is no leakage. If you only want one broth, just fill the other compartment with water to keep the heat distribution balanced. The pot sits firmly on the heating unit. Easy to control the temperature, and when you're done, the pot itself can go in the dishwasher. I'm very satisfied and I'm glad I bought it.

Pretty good.
I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Heats up quickly, very easy to clean. My only complaint is the design could have beena little better. The outer ring dips down near the inner ring and I always lose food which I find after dumping everything.

Got it for a gift
Bought for a couple of foodies as a gift. I’m used to hot pot at restaurants, so was worried about the broth not getting hot enough. But was told that it was perfect. It makes for a fun dinner when you’re entertaining. And convenient to have a separate middle unit for a different flavour broth if you want.
