Comfortable lightweight hiking shorts!

Great Short!

Great medium weight shorts! They fit well and are super comfortable. The built in belt was a nice thought, but I didn't like it so I cut it off and use a regular belt. They do have traditional belt loops if you prefer a regular belt.

Falls short

My favorite pants are the pairs of wrangler atg flex cargo that they stopped making. Those are designed and constructed really well. Unfortunately, they did not carry those ideas over to these shorts. The pockets on these shorts are not well thought out. The side pocket is too low and just not deep enough as well as the rear pockets. And the rear pockets could either use zippers or flaps. The inner construction is basic and doesn't have any reinforcement for more active wear. I have a pair of north face paramount zip offs that manages to successfully address these issues and they are over 5 years old. These shorts could have easily gotten this right. Especially that they marketed towards out door activities. As a basic pair of shorts, they're comfortable and fit as expected. But as clothing for high level activity, they fall a tad short.
