Not bright at all for an LED flashlight
Not bright at all for an LED plug-in flashlight It is only 400 lm they could’ve definitely put a better LED chip in it it’s not like LED chips are expensive

Boat light
I found myself looking for a 12v light that I could plug into the cigarette lighter plug of my boat, so I wouldn't have to worry about maintaining batteries. I chose this one because it's affordable, has an LED bulb and had no batteries. I got the chance to try it out one night on the boat and it works just fine. It's not incredibly bright, but it's bright enough to light up marker buoys and docks. There is a little red LED light to indicate that the light has power, and a press on/off trigger. The cord is plenty long. I think the light is just fine for what I was looking for.

Maybe my expectations were too high? 3.5 stars...
I am no way saying this unit is a piece of junk....the build quality seems good...its nice and small....but it is more like a "semi-powerful flashlight" over a true "handheld spot light"....I think it will do an OK job of a good flashlight, but for a boat on the Mississippi river, looking out for dead heads during a night cruise is a MUST and this will NOT produce a long enough beam or a "pin" spot to help....If you were to use to use for camping or your car I think it would be nice....but for anything over that....look elsewhere....If I could rate it 3.5 stars I would....but I will rate 4 stars as maybe it was MY expectations that were too high....

Loved everything about it except not bright enough
This was my third attempt at a spotlight. While this one far surpassed the two prior, it is also being returned. Pros: this one actually stays plugged in (last two did/would not), this one's cord is nice & long & not the spiral kind. Was able to hold it out the car window & shine it over the roof with plenty of slack left in the cord. Very lightweight, the on/off trigger works great. I loved everything about this light EXCEPT the 400 Lumens...just not bright enough or the beam is just not far-reaching enough for my application.

Sufficient illumination
Tested to see how bright it would be in a pitched dark garage, it illuminated the whole garage. We purchased this item for our boat for emergency lighting or workin in the boat at night. This is more than adequate for us. No waiting for a battery to be charged and it is not as sensitive as to breakage as a more powerful halogen lamp. I am quite happy and will purchase a couple more for our cars.

spotlight
works pretty well could have a broader beam, but works well for a smallish boat.

Smaller than expected.
Was smaller than I anticipated but at Least it works. Not a lot of light emitted from it.
