A simple method of meeting the Rules of the Road requirements for night lighting on dinghies.

Operationally, they work great. The reason for the 4 stars for installation is because I had to add a strip of industrial strength Velcro to my inflatable to install the bow light. The items provided for bow installation (clamps, etc.) are fine for dinghies with wood. metal, hard plastic, etc., bows but not for inflatable soft-sided dinghies. It was a simple fix but be aware you will have to come up with a "fix" to add the bow lights to an inflatable. The Attwood product is well built. Battery life will depend on the battery you install.

I never got to use the light because it was missing the clamp for the red and green light I didn’t really want to return it I just wanted to send the purse please send me a new one without giving me a refund just send me a new one

Not recommended for salt water boating

The lights work and the clamps were easy to assemble. However, the metal parts of the clamp will begin to corrode immediately if used on salt water. I replaced the mounting screws on the c-clamps with stainless steel equivalents, but the clamps themselves are not corrosion resistant and need to be rinsed and lubricated after each use.

Boat lights

Easy on and off and bright enough for people to see me

5 years, still working well

We use this on our10’ tender in a salt water environment. We don’t leave in on the dinghy but it has held up very well each time we use it. We cruise full time. The only change we made was to attach it to the boat canvas instead of using the clamps

Just make sure you check your batteries before you go.

These are a great replacement for the wired pole and front light indicators. I can’t emphasize enough that you need to check your batteries before you leave and possibly carry additional batteries with you if you are night fishing. With that said, great product overall.

I would recommend this product.

The product arrived on time and was well packaged. It was easy to assemble, works well, and seems to be durable. Longevity remains a question as it will be used for fall fishing in inclement weather.

Decent boat lights! A little finicky

Work well but you gotta find the right spot when tightening the battery lid. Too tight, won’t work. Too loose, light will flash a bit. Seems to be a problem with these. But hey, not a ton of options like this for battery-operated options so whatevs

Paid for themselves first night

I grabbed these as part of my "outfitting"/pimpin my dinghy project. Perfect for what I was after! I use them on my speed boat too now since they're so easy to pop on/off and switch boats. Very bright! I got caught out later than I expected the first night I had them and they paid for themselves on the cruise home as I was confident & feeling safe to navigate knowing that other vessels would be able to see me easily! Great for the dinghy, kayak, canoe, or even as a back up to your nav lights on a regular boat.

Excellent battery operated Running Lights.

These are of quality construction and very bright. They unscrew to fit into a zip bag so easy to store in a dry spot. I have had 4 sailboats and two aluminum boats and these are well worth the price if you require a good set of Port and Starboard light plus the stern light.

Lights Stay On

Unfortunately there is something wrong with the contacts on my set where the lights stay on but dim. If I loosen the connection they turn off. I am past the return period but will try to contact the company for a replacement.
