Badger’s Patriot 105 airbrush is a dual action, internal mix, gravity feed airbrush with a permanently mounted 1/3 ounce color cup. This -7 kit version includes a braided air hose that connects directly to the Patriot airbrush and to any air source with a 1/4 NPT outlet. Designed as the gravity feed version of Badger’s popular siphon feed “Anthem” airbrush, the Patriot delivers superior performance with its innovative precision design. The Patriot’s two angle needle tip precisely mates with the Patriot’s cone shaped nozzle enabling a single (.5) needle/nozzle configuration to spray virtually any desired material, eliminating the need for various needle/nozzle sizes. Straight out of the box, hooked it up and tried to shoot Vallejo thinned 30% with the same pressure I’ve used with other Badger airbrushes. The air would not shut back off after depressing the valve and the needle would not close off when released. Had to place a rubber band around the paint cup and back around the needle to keep it returned to neutral and flick up on the button to shut the air off. Not ideal. After cleaning it out, I tore it completely down, ran needle juice on every surface to lube it up and found the button rubbing on the housing. Cleaned a burr off the housing with a mini file, put it all back together and now it’s working perfectly. Just ran more Vallejo, some Tamiya, ModelFlex and Dead Flat through it and completely happy. Not opposed to a little fine tuning but expected better.

Seems to work good but it did not come with the connection For the compressor and it was difficult to find. Just hard when you get something and have to wait to use it because it doesn’t come with the correct equipment

Make sure you get an adapter for the hose

The airbrush itself seems to be of good quality manufacture. However I can’t use it yet because it comes with a hose that does not fit a standard compressor make end. So now I have to buy a set of adapters to try to make it work.

Not of great value

It's not that there's a problem itself with the airbrush, as the airbrush is reliable and does its job well, but rather what you pay for in terms of the whole package isn't quite worth it. To begin with, the airbrush doesn't come with its dedicated case for storage, nor does it come with the extra nozzle tip. It's arguably a minor issue, but I'm bewildered why things are taken out in the first place. There shouldn't be a reason to get less when you're paying for more.. So essentially, the extra price you are paying for is just for the hose (which usually won't fit your typical air compressor without adapters), the mixing bottle and pipette (which also happened to somehow break with just 3 gentle squeezes). This isn't going to be worth the extra you pay for. Honestly, it seems like a much better deal to just buy the airbrush alone, and to buy the other stuff separately as they're likely cheaper elsewhere. I do in fact regret my purchase, and would just buy the airbrush by itself if I could turn back time. Stay away from this bundle as it's not a good deal.

Don't recommend for beginners

It was feast or famine with this airbrush. Also I had to get used to No needle protection. Sprays a little or sprays alot. Didn't have that medium spray like every other airbrush in the world. Tried for 30 days to get a good feel for the airbrush but couldn't. I don't recommend for beginners because of the exposed needle tip. I see online reviewers was just kissing up to badger because it's hard to give a not so great review when they give you a free Airbrush.

Quality budget airbrush

Pound for pound the 105 is a well balanced brush, ideal for a beginner. I use it for model making and have found it reliable and easy to opperate. it comes from a family firm which has high regard for its workforce. See YouTube vid on tour of the works in USA.
