Great Little Tool!!
Simple little tool make 3 different sizes of oval jump rings, which are mare stable than round ones. I am really glad I purchased this tool. It is simple to use, I can make plenty of jump rings in minutes and choose the size that best fits the project I am working on. This is a great tool to have in my tool kit!!

They work
Good. Smaller than i wanted. I made a bigger one out of an old wrench. But for small. They work and are in fact oval.

Impossible to create oval jump rings with this tool.
Like the headline says, it was impossible to make oval jump rings with this tool. Sure, you can wrap a coil around the mandrel, but you can't get it OFF. The process of wrapping, coiling the wire around the mandrel work-hardens the metal so the wire spring is really insurmountable. If somehow, you can get the coil off, it instantly torques into a twisted unusable coil for jump rings. The rings cannot be sawed - or cut with a flush cutter. You might be able to get 2 jump rings off with the cutter, but you can't work your way around the coil, flipping your flush cutters for each ring. Take a look at an oval jump ring and you'll see why. I even tried annealing the wire prior to coiling it and it was still unworkable. If anyone out there knows the secret to getting this thing to work, please let me know. Maybe the successful people are making a 1-inch coil?? Do tell.

this works just fine, but it makes such large jump rings that I'm afraid I won't have a lot of use for it.
