Model 17-B fits 2.00" OD bearing protector

Unable to identify the manufacturer or model number of my boat trailer bearing protectors, the Bearing Buddy fitment chart provided no help (officially, 17B fits Bearing Buddy models 1781 and 1810). Instead, I measured the outer diameter of my protector with a digital caliper (2.00") and relied on the advice of some other reviewers to determine proper fit. I was glad I did. The instructions on the package advise to, "Simply press the bra on over the Bearing Buddy and you are all set". Not quite that easy, but they WILL fit with a bit of effort. I found that a heat gun or hair dryer helps soften the material while a single drop of dishwashing liquid smeared around the inner lip of the bra helped ease it over the bearing protector. I also used a toothpick, like a tire iron, to stretch-on the last bit of bra around the protector, and to provide an outlet to press out air trapped within the bra prior to toothpick removal. A firm, tight fit was the result... better than too loose.

fit perfectly

these fit my existing trailer bearing protectors just fine. I opted to clean up the existing stainless ones and replace the covers, saved some money over purchasing new. These helped with that and hub looks brand new.

Slipped right on and hold well

These slipped right on to the bearing housings on my EZ-Loadr trailer. Still holding up many months later.

Advertised as 2”. Did not fit.

After reading the reviews I figured it would fit and was wrong. Will not fit over a 2” bearing buddy.

They're OEM replacement not much to review.

They are exactly like the ones that come with the bearing because wait for it.... They're the same ones that come with the bearing. So if you liked the original and lost one then you'll probably like these.

Great Value

I was worried about the diameter of this thing because I read several reviews and there seems to be a question as to it's inside diameter. I put off purchasing it for quite awhile but decided my measurements were as close to being correct as possible and ordered them. They are difficult to put on the hub, but they have to be or else they would come off while driving. These fit like a glove and I am very happy with the purchase.
