Proven willing to sacrifice itself for my electronics!

I recently had some major power issues where the neutral wire from the power company disconnected from the house, and they had to come out to fix that. So there was 24 hours so of flickering lights and extremely uneven power, followed by power line work. Afterward I found couldn't start some computers here and was full of dread. After poking around, however, I found it was just these surge protectors that had failed. Thanks to that, my more expensive electronics were fine. I just happily returned to buy three more of these, and figured that was a sign that it was time to write a glowing review.

You need these protectors

I recently had my home struck by lightning. My Belkin surge protectors kept my TVs from exploding in the house. The electrician who came to take care of the repairs needed after the strike said that the surge protectors really did their job. Anyone with a computer or television MUST have these protectors.

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE & QUALITY

I HAVE A GUY WHO INSTALLS ALL MY ELECTRONICS AND HE WAS GOING TO PROVIDE ME WITH A SURGE PROTECTOR THAT HAD ALL THE QUALITIES AS THIS ONE, INCLUDING THE $250K, 2-YEAR WARRANTY, TO SET UP MY TV AND SPEAKERS, BUT IT WAS WAY MORE EXPENSIVE! I FOUND THIS ON AMAZON AND ASKED HIM IF THIS WOULD BE OKAY. HE INVESTIGATED IT AT AMZN AND GOT BACK TO ME AND SAID, "ABSOLUTELY", AND THAT HE BOUGHT SEVERAL FOR HIS INVENTORY TO PROVIDE FOR HIS CLIENTS AT A MUCH MORE REASONABLE COST! GUESS I FOUND A "GOOD FIND"! YOU COULD, TOO!

ANOTHER EXCELLENT & QUALITY POWER STRIP SURGE PROTECTOR BY BELKIN

I've used many Belkin Power Strips with Surge Protection over the years. This seems to be a nice updated look of the old once I needed to replace after too many power hits over the years. I like that it also has the two USB chargers too, and they will work for a tablet too, and are high speed. What's not to LOVE?!?

Literally saved my stuff last night

Here to drop a review because this surge protector gave its all last night to protect several devices, from a lamp to a Kindle. We had a power surge (and 9+ hour power loss following) and this protector kept everything from getting fried. The surge was enough to trip major breakers throughout the house. That said, it's now dead and will need to be replaced. If you need extra charge ports and outlets, this will work great. If you want to be absolutely sure that your items are surge-protected, this one works!

Great power strip!

This power strip is great! It is designed so the smaller plugs run down the middle and the big bulky power blocks can be plugged in on the sides. It is spaced out far enough so they do not bother each other. Also a great feature is the usb ports. Would not recommend for traveling because it is to big and bulky but would definitely recommend it for home or office use.

A surge protector that works great

Get a good surge protector! I can't tell you how many times my friends have gotten their stuff fried because of cheapo surge protectors. It's worth paying a little more and getting something that actually works and will protect your electronics. Also surge protectors wear out over time so replace them occasionally. I replace mine every 3-4 years. This surge protector is great and its' what you want. The plugs are well spaced out to work with bigger plugs and the traditional ones. It plugs into the wall flat which is really nice for those tight spaces. It checks your ground connection to make sure that is properly working. Great buy!

When use both USB ....

Everything is working as expected. It is a nice surge protector. When using 1 USB port to charge device you get 2A if using both USB ports, it will split the 2A to 1A per port. It would be nice if both port can charge device at the time with 2A.

A solid surge protector - well able to accommodate wall warts.

I recently had to pickup a new surge protector, though honestly I should get a few new sets - remember folk: surge protection degrades over time. What was once a perfectly good surge protector at some point will provide no protection anymore: so if you live in an area where you are concerned about surges (or attach sensitive equipment to it), I recommend replacing every few years. Above and beyond that: Belkin is the standard I expect from surge protectors. I've never had any issues with them, and they've performed admirably, giving plenty of ports that are well spaced out. So too does this protector offer it: too often plugs are crowded onto a small protector, which is fine until you start dealing with plugs that have some serious wall wart issue.

lasted exactly 11 months before burning out

This surge protector lasted exactly 11 months before burning out. I am quite literal about this. I plugged nothing anomalous into it, just computer hardware, and it 'popped' and smelled like burning plastic. Exactly 11 months and a week ago.

Works Well For Work Station

Decent product design and reliable - Needed a surge protector for the computer, and so far I manage to plug in the computer/monitors/lamp/speakers and still have room for other devices. The case is seems to be better made than a lot of the regular powerbar and surge protectors. I appreciate how the outlets are arranged, as the side outlets are even friendly for plug adapters.

Just what I needed

Although this power outlet is a little large (not suitable for travel) it works very well for us, we needed a power bar that could fit several plug in boxes (not just the plain cord end), It was used for a system that had several cameras, each of the cameras had their own power supply and they could not plug into a "normal" power bar as the outlets were too close together.
