The Duke of Wellington’s armies of the Napoleonic Wars were built from troops of all manner of nations and principalities, whom on the whole were British officered and trained, and who fought very well alongside their British comrades. The Hanoverian troops were, of course, German. They joined up in the British army to carry on the fight against Napoleon, the tyrant of the continent, when so many of their German cousins elected to fight for Bonaparte. They fought the same as British line troops in a two-deep formation, carried similar colors, and followed British drill. They wore either the Belgic shako, like their counterparts in British regiments or, as modeled here, the neat peaked forage cap which distinguished them from other units. This boxed set can be fielded as a Hanoverian Field Battalion or a Landwehr unit. This boxed set contains: 20 plastic easy-build Hanoverian Infantry. 4 metal command miniatures: officer, drummer, two ensigns, wire flagpoles and finials. 2-page background guide with ten full-color flags

Build, paint and play! The construction and painting of the models and watching them come to life are just as much fun as the game itself!. Built to be played on large tabletops, such as a pool table and multiplayer with as many people as you want, Black Powder was originally created to be a club game. A standard move is 12 ins for infantry, 18 in for Cavalry. Each player will need to have a measuring tape handy as they are not included. Each brigade is led by a single commander. You can move your entire brigade altogether or give individual units their own orders. On each turn, verbal commands are agreed upon by both players and moved based on those verbal commands and the roll of the dice. Reenact pivotal battles in history within this tabletop combat game using dice, troops, and rules constructed by Warlord Games against one or more opponents. From the Napoleonic Wars to the American Revolution to the Civil War to the Plain Wars and many other conflicts in between, Black Powder covers a significant period in history spanning almost 300 years, which encompasses an era of warfare defined by muskets and cannons fueled by nothing more than gunpowder.

Big Improvement!
This is the second set of Warlord Games figures I ordered. The first set was poorly sculpted, and I was quite disappointed, and said so in my review. This set is much better. I'm happy and I'm glad I gave them a second chance. The set contains 20 plastic figures and 4 metal. There are 4 sprues of plastic parts. Each sprue contains 5 different figures in a marching pose with weapon shouldered, 5 backpacks, and 7 heads. One of the heads is bare, all of the others wear soft forage caps. All four sprues are identical. By mixing the heads you can produce 20 different figures. The four metal figures are for your 'command stand'. The full color guide sheet that comes with the set has standards on one side and a history and suggestions for construction. It mentions using heads with Belgic shakos or the stovepipe shako to produce additional KGL regiments. It would have been nice had the sprues contained those heads. As a suggestion to Warlord Games maybe they will release a set of heads for that simple conversion. As it stands you would have to purchase a British Waterloo infantry Rgmt. for the Belgic Shakos or a Peninsular Regiment for the stovepipes. Then what do you do with the British bodies without heads? Greatly pleased with this Regiment. Amazon handled the shipping. Not so happy here. It was a prime purchase, but was slated for 5 day delivery schedule. Late on the 5th day they notified me it would be 6 or 7 days. It did arrive in 6.
