One of the century's greatest inventions

If you have multiple tools and a large project this is life changing. Price is reasonable IMO. A single charger will cost at least 50 so a 6 charger for 100 and it works great is fantastic. Keep at the work site and just put the batteries in, an hour or so later, all charges. I have 6 batteries (4 original but different generations and 2 Bosch compatible) and 5 tools (so far :)). We just bought a new place and this has made the repairs and renovation so much easier

A MUST HAVE!!

I'm an iron worker by trade, the company I work for uses Bosch cordless tools so I decided to start buying some of my own to have extra tools when I needed them plus a good set for home use. Loved them so I kept adding to my collection, now 3 drills, 3 impacts, grinder, sawzall, circular saw, and 8 batteries later I gotta keep them charged and rolling. I have everything from the little 2 amps to the big 8 amp and this thing charges them all in record time. What used to take me hrs to charge the 8 amp on the little comes in a bundle chargers this thing does in no time! I load it up and just let it go, don't have to worry about stopping work and going back every 30-45 minutes to change the battery. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anybody that has more than a couple of batteries.

If you have a set get this to keep going!

I have 8 Bosch tools in the series and with this unit I never have to slow down. It works on all different mAh sizes and clearly indicates charge levels for quick exchange

A Much Needed Charger!

It is about time that Bosch is making more than the single chargers for their tools. I love Bosch tools, especially the batteries that go with them. But for some reason Bosch has been behind in their chargers. If you use more than a couple of 18v batteries during the day, this charger is a must have. I use both 12v and 16v daily, so ideally I would like to see this same setup with half 18v and half 12v charging ports. Also as stated by others, I hope a 12v version is in the near future.

If you run the Bosch system I truly think this is the best purchase you can make.

I bought the 4 tool 18 volt combo kit at lows. I’ve picked up a few more tools and batteries. It was frustrating waiting on them to charge. This tool has eliminated that problem. I haven’t had to worry about charges batteries since I bought it. It charges each battery super fast. I haven’t officially timed it but it seems like it charges a 2 amp hour battery in under 15 minutes. If you run the Bosch system I truly think this is the best purchase you can make.

It charges one battery at a time, but cycling to the next battery when done with the first! Love it!

I love it

The media could not be loaded. This Bosch battery charger model GAL18V6-80 works really well the charge 18v Bosch batteries and great for storage and carry-on on the job site. In the pictures looks a lot bigger but in reality is very compact 12”L x 8 1/4”D x 9”H. I like the shape of it, the charging cable that can be wrapped around the handle, it’s light weight and the visual LED lights that show charging level progress. It doesn’t charge all batteries at the same time, but it alternates between them automatically when one battery is charged it goes to next one and so on. I have used it charge 18V type 1.5Ah, 2.0Ah, 4.0 Ah and 8.0 Ah Core batteries with no issues. Charging times are reasonable fast for 8Ah CORE at 100% is 70 min. And for older standard 4Ah battery at 100% in 40 min. Im not sure if it can charge 12Ah CORE batteries, no mention of it in the user manual. Couple small things to mention that could be improved is to add rubber feet at the bottom so the charger doesn’t slide around and for the handle it could be retractable so it’s even more compact. Overall, I think this charger is at good value, good quality and safety futures, is a great addition to my Bosch collection and find it very useful. I hope they will come with same thing for 12V batteries or a combination of both. Thanks

The ideal battery charger – very good idea and works very well

This charger has so many good features: - six bays - easy to pack and move around, cord wraps around handle - sequential fast charging of each battery up to 80% - then sequential slow charging of each battery up to 100% - 5 segment LED display for each battery, so you can accurately see the state of charge - because the fast-charging sequence stops at 80%, I can easily charge the batteries to 80% level before putting them away for storage. (Li-ion batteries last much longer if you store them at 80% charge rather than 100% charge – suppresses dendritic electrode growth.) This is my favourite feature – very good for battery health. - works with older and newer generation Bosch batteries Highly recommend for anyone who has multiple Bosch 18V tools.

Bosch nails it again, can they do anything wrong??

The thing charges 6x 18v batteries Only thing that would have been nice would be a couple 12v charger slots for the 12v batteries. The thing is amazing, quicker charging, has the 80% charge feature which is slick! Keep those lithiums going and going!

finally they develop one...need a 12v multiple as well. Bosch seems very poor at product development as compared to Milwaukee options. I have lots of Bosch product and continually need to wait for common sense product needs for the contractor

All the Batteries in 1 Place

I used allot of rechargeable tools and use to have a mess of chargers/cords/splitters. This Bosch charger is great because it charges/maintains 6 batteries in compact space using just 1 plug
