Longer than most. = Good

I used this as an alternate pilot bit for some bosch TCHS hole saws. The default pilot bit was for masonry and the the pilot bits from the hole saw adapter sets were too short. This bit was perfect. (I am not sure why but standard 1/4" hex shank bits do not seem to fit/lock into the bosch hole saw arbors.)

i got 2 of these for a job using a 25mm hole saw the timber was hard 30 yr old Australian hard wood in a alpine area the 1st lasted 24 holes before spinning in its holder
