The BOSCH line of countersinks are great for deburring and chamfering openings to pre-drilled holes. Great for electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors. Alignment tool for guide.
Perfectly aligns the template guides to the router collet. It is a must have to use the Porter Cable guide adapter for your Bosch router.

A must for guide bushings
I bought this to help dial in my plunge router for use with a guide bushing. When your using a 1/4 up it bit with a 5/16 bushing there’s not much room for error. This item works perfectly for centering your router plate to the spindle. A mush for anyone using guide bushings with tight tolerances.

Exactly what you need
If you're looking at this piece, chances are you need this for your router. Skip the foreplay and just buy it. I did a lot of looking around and came back to this. Take my word and save yourself some time.

It worked.
I needed a base plate for a Craftsman router I had removed from a router table to reuse for dovetailing with a special nonstandard guide. (Craftsman tool parts are largely not available any more). I fabricated a new base plate from some acrylic sheet and used this tool to center the plate to the router with the guide installed. It worked fine.

There are times when the correct tool makes a hobby more enjoyable
My purchase arrived on time and it was well packaged. On opening the contents were in sound condition and using it has been a pleasure. A good experience.

Poor Quality Control
Needed this product to center the base plate on my routers to center my template bushings. Delivery was fast. Outside package was left on my doorstep, which was as expected. The packaging for the centering pin showed scuffed and torn but I don't believe this caused any cosmetic damage to the part itself. Upon examining the parts I noticed that the pin did not extend through the inside of the cone. As seen in the pictures 1 and 2, it appears that the top of the cone had been snapped off as it came through the manufacturing process and was never cleaned up. I was going to return for another but I had the equipment in my shop to make it work. I placed the 1/4" pin in my drill press and trued the 1/2" end of the cone until the pin would easily move through with slight hand pressure. I had to remove approximately 3/16" of material. I have not used this product for it's intended purpose yet but I expect it will work as intended.
