Awesome tool
Bosch TC700 Masonry Bit Holder. These drill holders are awesome! Just exactly what's needed to keep the drill from slipping in the chuck. Included with the holder is an Allen wrench to tighten the set screw that holds the drill in the holder. The only negative aspect is the shaft is not 1/4" as advertised by Bosch. I purchased the holder specifically for my DeWalt impact driver (which of course has a 1/4" chuck). The holder shaft is actually 8mm. This fact doesn't take away from the usefulness of the holder, but it is something of a nuisance having to use a drill motor with a 1/2" chuck. DeWalt motors and all the 1/4" bits they offer have spoiled me. It would be great if DeWalt offered such a drill holder as the TC700. BTW, for anyone who may wonder, the holder does not drill holes. It simply holds the drill perfectly stationary in the drill motor.

Did not work!
We ordered this part while we were laying down laminate flooring and needed to screw down the transition plates to the concrete foundation. Once we received the part, we attached it to the drill following the directions and commenced to drilling the holes. No matter how much pressure we put on the drill, which had more than enough torque on it for the job at hand, the drill bit would not go through the concrete. We ended up using liquid nails for concrete to fasten the transition plate to the foundation.

If you are going to drill many holes for tapcon screws, you want this. When you buy a box of tapcon type screws, it will probably come with a concrete impact bit. Most people will simply clamp the bit into their chuck and probably experience slippage. This adapter is intended to key with those tapcon specific impact bits to prevent slippage. The bonus is that you can use the full length of the bit instead of having it slip to the bottom of your drill chuck.
