Great product. but...
FYI the text shrinks along with the tubing, so use the largest font. The tubing burns quite easily, shrink with care or will end up brown.

Excellent size for wire labeling
Works great, legible, robust but not too thick. Excellent for labeling tefzel-insulated wiring.

This size works well with 18ga MTW
I recently labeled about 350 wires with permasleeves. This saved me from peeling the backing off that many labels and rolling them on the wire. It's not a huge time saver - unless you are producing labeled wires on a workbench with the proper gadgets to support speed. The main benefit, after not having to peel them, is how uniform and special they look. I was mostly doing 18ga MTW with a pretty thick insulation, and the fit was good. At times I had someone printing them out for me, but it would have been nice if they could open them as easily as I could, would have saved more time. This is the good news. The bad news: they can be tough to open to fit on the wire, if wire is pre-stripped the strands want to catch on the sleeve so you may need to wind them first, cannot use quick strippers if the label is already on and close to the end, the printed characters may shrink or become distorted after shrunk, when using open flame it can brown the label or burn the wire insulation, they are not as stuck in place as sticky labels so they may slip, and last but not least...they are expensive.

Great product
These sleeves work great I do wish they would advertise the wire size for the perma sleeves rather than simply measurements in mm width - - I bought 2 before I got the correct size that I needed, I recommend these sleeves - they go on and stay on

Perfect wire labeling
I got my new Brady permasleeve labeling, M21-187-C-342, and it works great. It fit well on shielded 22GA, 3 conductor wire and shrank to fit mil-spec 20 gauge. I am happy that it handles 3 rows of text, albeit very small after shrinking, but it’s there and clear to read. For my labeling, I find my labels are all 1" to 1 1/8", so you can get about 76 labels out of a roll at that length. They are very easy to make, apply and appear to hold up well. Recommended.

Great concept, but very expensive for big jobs
This Brady PermaSleeve cartridge fits my red IDPal. I use these sleeves to mark wiring for modifications I make in industrial machinery. The cartridge contains white heat-shrink tubing that is spooled up flat inside the cartridge. When you press print, it comes out flat. Once you cut off the label, you then have to squeeze the tube open, then you can insert your wire. The flattened label is sometimes hard to squeeze open, and can be a little time consuming. Heat shrink is a must on smaller wiring, because the label will fall off easily. Heating the label shrinks it a lot. I set the IDPal to large font, because it shrinks so much. I am happy with this particular size, because it fits my 22AWG signal wiring, and also fits 10AWG power wiring. The good: + Makes wiring look professional. + Durable heat-shrink sleeve does not use adhesive. + High shrink rate allows one cartridge size to fit a wide range of wiring sizes. + The required IDPal printer is reasonably priced. The bad: - Expensive cartridges! The cartridge is consumed very quickly. - Print can smear slightly if rubbed hard with your finger. - Time consuming to squeeze the tube open to insert wire.

Great (expensive) product
This is a quality product and it makes my work look significantly more professional. If it were half the price, I'd give it 5 stars and order it by the case. Make sure you order the appropriate size for the gage of wire you're going to be labeling.

Good label
It's a good quality label but far too expensive for what you get. Should be 40 bucks tops, if you're planning to do a lot of labeling I would advise using another printer or getting your wires laser stamped if possible, cheaper alternative if you have a lot of wires.
