If you try to install it to 3 inch duct the noise will be louder!

Works great a bit noisy

The fan itself works great. I’m a little disappointed with the vent flap that lets air out as it makes a bit of noise when the fan is turned on. Other than that I’m happy with the fan.

Bathroom exhaust fan

Had to do some ceiling trimming and get in the attic to remove the old base and install the new base, exhaust fan is excellent,works great,more cfm than the old.

Brian NuTone AE110 Exhaust Fan

I purchased this fan because I trust the Broan brand based on previous use. The fan is working great, removing moist air and keeping mirrors condensate free. And it is so quiet—1 sone. Think we must have had a 6 some before—but then it was 40 years old. The only thing I don’t like has nothing to do with the fan—but with the seller, Amazon. I feel that I was taken advantage of. I put the fan in my cart at a price of $97.15. Because I had no idea of what to look for in a fan. I reviewed several tutorials to understand the major points. I then sent the information, specs, & installation guide to the electrician to confirm that my choice was appropriate for the room size and task. The electrician didn’t get back to me immediately. When he confirmed that the new fan was an excellent fan and appropriate, I went back to Amazon, but the price had increased to ~$109.50 I went ahead and ordered it anyway. But after I placed my order and looked back a little later, the price dropped back to $97.15. That’s what the price is today i.e. $97.15. So Amazon increased the price because it was in my cart awaiting the electrician’s confirmation of appropriateness .

Not as quiet as expected, but not terrible

I do not have any machinery to detect noise levels etc, but based on their table and sone level recommendation i'd have thought this one was much lower...you still hear it plenty loud

Easy to install in existing house

The actual bathroom did not had a fan. After some research I decided to buy the Nu-Tone single speed fan. I'm very happy with it. Kinda start the installation from scratch and it went well. It took me half a day to install the fan, the vent house and electricity, which is not that bad. Noise level is pretty low, it's powerful enough for the bathroom size (13x7 room) and it looks very good on the ceiling. I recommend it.

Easy installation, good draw. Noise wise, its a fan people, fans move air, air movement makes some noise. I'd say for the amount of air it moves, it's quiet.

It works really well, we noticed a difference in the bathroom on first use. Noise level is a huge improvement from what we had before.

The grill took longer to install than the fan. Yikes!

This was purchased as a replacement. Out of the box the vent flap was loose and it took a while to figure out how to snap it back into place. Not entirely sure that it is properly opening. The cutout guide is slightly too large so the hole I cut iis slightly too large in both dimensions. The biggest problem was, if you can believe this, installing the grill. The diagram showing how to attach the spring arms was very small and unclear. Took me over an hour of cursing to figure it out. Once done it was obvious of course. The fan seems loud but seems to work.
