Best. And great for beginners!
I made my own teddy bear and I just love the whole stocking. My boyfriend loves it!

Cute stocking
I've made approx 30 Bucilla felt & sequin stockings. Some of the floss, particularly the white floss, is thin and breaks. A few of the other colors had knots in them. The light blue floss was two different colors. I'm almost finished making the stocking. All in all this is the perfect stocking for my great grandson.

Advanced project. A lot of very small pieces.
This is about my 20th stocking for relatives. Only one thing I don’t like about the Busilla stocking is the dark print on the felt, because if your embroidery is off even a little the ink is seen. After I embroider and the ink shows I gently try and pull up the print using tweezers and small scissors. This stocking has many little pieces. I feel a person has to be really organized so pieces don’t get lost. 1. I will cut out pieces (leaving the number on) according to color and place each color in baggies. 2. I will sew sequins on and embroider them and sew the pieces together. (ie the ball the red and green sewn on to the gold). 3. I will also gather up the pieces to each design. For instance the ball on this stocking (ie the gold, green and red pieces). 4. Start applying the pieces from back to the front. (ie boots, the white cuff, then the red pant leg and so on). As you can see I like to add a little touch of my own. My nephew has a dog named Sophie, so I made a pattern of a paw print and embroidered the print and her name on a small tag. It’s attached to the ball. FYI: Doll’s shoes were not good for embroidering, so I made felt shoes. She went from a size 2 to a size 7 ????????

Adorable stocking
I have done a few of these and have all turned out great! This one was by far the most challenging of all I have done. It had so many tiny pieces, was a bit overwhelming at times. Def not a project for beginners. Only complaint I have was the colors of the felt that came in the package did NOT match the ones in the picture. They were much more bright and vibrant and I actually preferred the muted colors in the picture as it looked more vintage. The bright felt of some of the pieces just looked a little tacky. Other than the color being off from the picture I have no complaints. It was a fun project and I hope my great niece loves it as much as I still love mine my aunt made me 25 years ago! :)

Beautiful.
Buccila stockings are always beautiful. They take hours to complete but there hasn’t been even 1 that wasn’t beautiful when completed. I have made at least 25-30 of these and everyone loves them from infant to 70 year old sister.

More work than I thought!
My mother-in-law made these Bucilla stockings for my kids, so of course I had to make one for my first grandchild, and, of course I managed to pick out an option that was intense. Holy cow, I had no idea what I was getting into. This took me two months of working for a couple of hours each evening to construct. Well worth the effort in the end, but had I known better, I would have chosen a less elaborate style. Lots and LOTS of little tiny pieces to applique!

A labour of love, but so worth it.
I bought this to make for my granddaughter. It is one of the older Bucilla designs and really delightful, I particularly like the painted toys hung up to dry! All these stockings take time and patience to complete - definitely not a quick weekend project. The quality of the felt in this vintage kit Is not as thick as in the newer kits, but that is not a problem if you line the stocking which I strongly recommend. Remember they will be stuffed with lots of goodies which might poke holes in the felt. I began by using the back panel of the stocking as a template to cut two lining pieces, remembering to add 1/2" extra all round for seam allowance. The stocking instructions are very detailed and lengthy, I tick off the steps as I work through them. There are over 160 separate pieces to embellish and assemble (some of them very tiny), so allow yourself plenty of time. This stocking took me 2 weeks to make, working on it each evening. All the embroidery threads, sequins, beads and needles are supplied, but you will also need a small bag of polyester stuffing, small scissors with sharp points, a short piece of chenille pipe cleaner, and maybe a needle threader. The trickiest part to make was Santa's paintbrush, I just could not get the pipe cleaner into the stitched felt handle. So I cut a new felt handle very slightly wider - Voila! Before stitching the front and back of the stocking together I also added a poem (two verses from 'Twas the Night Before Christmas...) and Santa's Sleigh image to the plain white back piece. Although it has definitely been a labour of love, I am delighted with the finished stocking and I'm sure my little granddaughter will be as well. It really is worth the effort to make one of these heirlooms of the future.

Cute stocking
I enjoyed doing this project and it turned out well! I am glad it was not the first one I did, but if it is your first read directions WELL follow step by step and if you get stuck call the 800 number on the package they are really helpful!

Would recommend, but plan out your plan of action prior to starting
Fortunately, I have completed 2 of these type of stocking prior to this one. Looks amazing but instructions aren't great

Good value and clear instructions.
I am still making this stocking but it’s very enjoyable and instructions are clear.

The instructions are very detailed and in small print. ...
The instructions are very detailed and in small print. There are no drawings to show you step by step what to do. So not for a beginning. Had to separate my threads and place on a card holder I had from a previous kit set. I haven't started the stocking yet as feel it's going to be hard with the way it's been laid out. Will let you know when I have finished whether I will but from this company again.
