Weatherproof electrical box good for outdoor projects

I bought this box to modify it into an outdoor projector enclosure for a community art project. Probably not what it's intended for but the box's PVC body was easy to work with (for drilling, cutting, filing, and bonding with other plastics via plumber's cement). The lid/door was already gasket sealed so I only had to seal the new openings I cut out. The box's walls held up decently well even after I cut out several large holes. Overall, this is a well-built box. And my completed projector enclosure passed the shower test.

Great product

I’ve ordered before and pleased both times. It’s sturdy and perfect for my intended use. I used mine indoors so unsure of water/weather proof

Good box lots of room a little flimsy.

Box is a little flimsy. The interior back plane is a must to maintain the water proof state. The latches are difficult to latch properly. It is a great size. I put 3 plugs, two transformers for low voltage yard lts and a WiFi repeater with room to spare.

Raintight and light.

Unique design, decent construction. For the price this enclosure cannot be beat. Not too crazy about the plastic back plate but it kept the components in place. If I have a need I will definitely order again.

Weather Proof Electronic Box

This box was exactly what I needed to install my ham radio remote antenna tuner. It will be installed about 125ft from my station completely exposed to the elements. My installation is not complete at this time but the box is fully sealed and has sufficient space to house my electronics. The hinges and latches are of plastic so corrosion should not be a problem as would be the case with metal components.

I would have liked the option of odering the plate that mounts inside ...

The cabinet size OK; I would have liked the option of odering the plate that mounts inside the back of cabinet with mounting bolts. That way my project would come together w/feiness!

Great box

Excellent exterior box for outside electronics. We have it in a barn. Very sturdy. Had to enlarge lock hole to fit a lock, but easy to do with a drill.
