Strong and sturdy
This s the 75lb version. It has wheels, but doesn’t seem easy to wheel around. The instructions say not to use the umbrella to wheel it around, not sure how you are suppose to wheel it then. Must make sure that the umbrella is tightly and securely screwed into the based, if not, the umbrella will sway. I would recommend this base.

Decent stand
If you have to move your umbrella a lot, this probably isn’t the best stand for you. I thought it would be great since it has wheels and is meant to be moved. The portion that holds the umbrella is pretty weak and my umbrella is no longer straight up, it’s at a slant. The instructions say not to use the umbrella holder to help move the stand but there is no other way to get the stand up on its wheels to move. It’s a fine stand especially if you don’t have to move it much. It keeps my umbrella in place and I’m stoked!

Good sturdy base.
It is a round base loaded with concrete. Small wheels. Does the job of being able to move the umbrella around from time to time. I do not see why people give this such a negative review. They need to read the specifications before buying. Use only with a standard upright umbrella.

Good product save one flaw
This is a sturdy, well made umbrella support. My only knock is that I ordered the wheeled version so it would be easier to move around, since it weighs something like 75 lbs. However, there is no easy or practical way to lift it up enough to easily roll it. There is no handle and no finger grip. It seems it would be easy to include one or the other. I contacted California Umbrella to see if there is some attachment that can be purchased and was told no. It expressly says NOT to use the base pole to move it, so the only option is not try and squeeze your fingers under the edge without smashing and pinching them.

but it feels like the concrete is still in powder form and is ...
The way the mechanism works for holding the umbrella, it holds it on a slight angle. Also, while the base has wheels on one side, it weighs 75 lbs and there is no way to get your fingers under the other edge to lift it. One would think maybe you could use the pole to do this, but the pole feels too flimsy for this and it comes with warning stickers saying not to use the pole to tilt or lift it. Finally, the base isn't solid as I would have expected. It said it was concrete, but it feels like the concrete is still in powder form and is held in with some sort of fabric under the base. It doesn't seem like something that will last long term.

Services it's purpose.
A handle would be beneficial to make it easy to move.

Just Ok
This does the trick - secures the umbrella from falling or flying away but is a pain in the a** to move around. It has wheels - but only on one edge. In order to move it around you have to pull on the umbrella pole to angle it and be able to move using the wheels. There is the issue - doing so loosens the base tube and now your umbrella will be slanted. There really is no other practical way to move it. It expects you to lift it from one end then drag it? it's 75lbs!

Choose a different design.
Looks attractive but not well designed. You cannot move it by the pole, as it breaks like the instructions say it will, then u have to have a friend weld it back together, groan. Instead, u must pick up the edge that is flush to the ground - without a handle or hand hold - and pivot onto the wheels. Really? At 75 lbs this is not practical. Get a design with a handle. I will say it looks attractive with a slight sheen to the bronze finish and the wheels are sturdy and after 15 month, the finish has held up well.

These stands are the best! I have this on my cottage dock where it can get quite windy and so far I am pleased. I have used similar types of stands but at half the weight and they don't hold an umbrella upright even in small winds. I highly recommend.

Overall very stable.
Is sturdy enough, but I felt the finish on the bottom edge could have been a bit more refined.
