Great bread-making scale
I wanted a Penn P-10R but waited too long to buy it and they quit making it. This scale is similar in function so I bought it. I use it for making bread. I learned to make sourdough bread watching videos online. It's amazing how many of those videos imply that you have to have like 612 grams of flour. Does that mean that your bread is going to fail if you accidentally put 613 grams? Of course not. My wife, my mother, my wife's mother, my grandmother, and women all over the globe make bread without fractional gram measurements. Though I agree that weight is a better measure than volume, you don't need a scientific scale to make bread. In fact, I wanted to know how I'd make bread if the battery in my electronic scale quit, so I bought this. I made all the measurements to the lines on this scale and made the same recipe I make with my electronic scale. The bread turned out perfectly. If you want a scale without feeling like a mad scientist making bread, this scale will work great. It's consistently accurate and has enough range of measurements to handle every thing I need for making bread at home without spending hundreds on a baker's scale.

Good until it’s dropped
Works great until it’s dropped even from 1 foot. Then you have to throw it away. Kinda a bummer

Good scale
I would have given it a stars if it came with a flat top. Not to worry though, I made one from some scrap 308 stainless plate. I use it for measuring out pool chemicals and it's accurate.

Perfect Scale
We purchased this scale after our digital stop working. We were looking for an analog scale and were very pleased with this one. It was relatively simple to put together and easy to set. It is exactly what we were wanting. Good no slip grip on the bottom and easy to clean bowl.

I needed to return this scale
I needed to return this scale. The calibration screw did not work to tare the scale to zero. I was not able to remove the mounting screws to attach the bowl frame/plate. The bottom of the scale was not finished, and was scratchy.

Great scale
Works very well. We use it for portion control. My only complaint is that the tare adjustment takes a while to move the needle from the negative side back to zero.

No batteries required
Perfect scale for when you can not be bothered with digital ones. I need a scale that doesn’t shut off.

Works and looks great.
Looks great in my kitchen. FYI... The calibrating screw is brass coloured and found on top side of scale. You should calibrate after installing the mount for the plate. These instructions were not mentioned in the paper that came in the box. Took me 3 minutes to put it together and calibrate. Thumbs up!
