Works but don’t overfill with dust.

Be sure to not to overfill if you live in a humid area. Prouder can cake in tube and need to be ramrodded clear. Less dust seems to remain dryer and flow well.

An old time duster, thank goodness!

A long time ago ( in the 1950's!) this type of duster was used as a bug sprayer. I never understood why this type of sprayer/duster went out of style. It is easy to fill/use and covers the plants totally, under the leaves and on top. I use for copper dust and for insect dust. I will buy another so I do not have to empy the one I have to change dusts. Good value for the money.

Really like this

Saw this, reminded me of one my grandpa had many years ago. Decided to give it a try. Putting down insecticide dust, it's very controllable and easy to use. Would highly recommend it.

Holds a lot of powder!

I like the ample powder reservoir; but, the pick-up tub clogs a lot. That prevented me rating it 5 stars.

Great duster for my vegetable bed + fruit tree

I was concerned when I ordered it due to some negative reviews. Once I received it, I put it to work immediately on my Arugula + Radish + couple fruit trees, that were being shewed by some unknown bugs to me. It worked flawlessly, I expected some over dusting here and there, and not consistent volume of dust every couple pumping, but I consider that expected with non-high tech tool that cost $10. It never clogged so far, even with my Diatomaceous powder being 5 years old, sitting in my unheated shed, uncovered, with 95% humidity most of the year. I can direct the dust from either top of the plant or from the bottom, by bending the little hose slightly with my fingers while dusting. this little hose proved very useful to me as I can stick it in tiny places inside my fruit tree between the branches where it's hard to reach. You will not be able to dust an orchard with it, but for couple trees it works beautifully. I'm very happy with this duster and I would buy it again

Works well with a slight modification

As other reviewers have noted, I found that this unit works better when used with the product jar held in the up position, rather than the down position as pictured. Then it disperses a fine, even cloud of product, which in my case is Diatomaceous Earth. Otherwise it dispersed everything from clumps of D.E. to dense clouds to fine clouds to nothing. This might be because of the consistency of D.E. Also, as other reviewers noted, holding the sprayer upside down caused the sprayer tip to point upward. I found a way to get it to point downward. 1) Remove the product jar from the pump assembly. 2) Unscrew the black ring that holds the spray tip onto the front of the pump assembly. 3) On the under side of the pump assembly, where the clear tube extends down into the product jar, gently twist the cleat tube, at the point where it goes into the pump assembly. This will cause the spray to to rotate also. 4) When the spray tip is in the desired position, tighten the black ring that holds the spray tip onto the front of the pump assembly and re-attach the product jar. The tip should now be pointing down when the sprayer is held upside down.

Way over priced and poorly engineered.

This thing plugs with rose powder etc constantly and has to be tapped or breached with a piece of wire only to plug up again after 5 to 10 puffs. The cap on the back of the plunger keeps falling off. There is no way to determine if you are going to spray a lot of dust or just a puff due to the poor engineering. This is the most useless and overpriced thing I have ever purchased on Amazon.

works pretty well

Bought it to dust my lilies with diatomaceous earth. Worked fairly well but discovered it worked a lot better if I used it upside down. Who knew? Does a good job.

It works but the end comes off really easily. Goes back together okay but really overpriced & poorly made!

Doesn’t come with all pieces

This product says it comes with a “tank” — the reservoir to hold the product that you spray. Mine didn’t come with it. This is useless.
