Should work fine

I bought these a couple of mints ago and haven’t taken time to make the included cookie recipe for ice cream sandwiches. Sure wish I could purchase a size of cookies to fit.

A good place to start

I bought this because I thought a bite-sized ice cream sandwich would be nice to have. I made it as asked and it does work. But I find it a bit messy. To be able to fill the mold I found the ice cream needs to be a bit soft. Which then melts on the bottom wafers. So I modified it. I now just make the wafers And keep them in the freezer in a Ziploc. Then I used a cookie dough scoop to scoop the ice cream and put it between two wafers. Works great this way. The wafer recipe that comes with it makes a dark chocolate wafer. Going to try different ones until I find a milder recipe. But this really works great. Just a bit messy.

I don't know how to bake so I skipped the baking part and only used the molds for freezing the icecream that I made. They came out great and we just took them out and sandwich it between oreo cookies!

Fun for kids.

My son had more fun making them than eating them. The recipe that’s included is for a lot of batter. I’d cut in half next time since we wasted a lot.

Did not make good tasting ice cream sandwiches.

I am still giving this product three stars because it might have been my error when making the sandwiches. The instructions were very clear though. Like I said, it might have been my error, but if I made it correctly, the sandwiches tasted horrible. The kit is easy to clean, pretty easy to use except for when pouring the brownie batter into the molds, it was very messy. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing.

This does make cute little ice cream sandwiches that my grandkids loved. The process is a bit tedious and was a bit too hard for my five year old grandsons to be able help at all the steps. A bit older kids would probably like All the steps. Take extra care not to drop extra batter outside the molded circles or it is really difficult to get a good seal for the final step. The kids did love smooshing the ice cream in the form. They really did love to eat them all.

Great for gluten free ice cream sandwiches.

Great concept. Allowed my celiac husband to have ice cream sandwiches again, as I made the dough with GF flour. I wish I had bought the rectangle version as the circle version had a lot more crevices for the dough to deep into. However the result was worth the effort. Not easy for young kids to do on their own.
