Perfect kettle
Very nice electric kettle with small footprint. I use it daily for tea. Heats up fast to my preset temp. Love the keep-warm setting . Pours without dripping☕️

Design needs improvement
The first issue is the temperature control. I previously had a Chef's Choice electric kettle with temperature control. When you set it at, for instance, 205 degrees, it stayed within +/- 1 to 2 degrees. This kettle at the same temperature, varies +/- 5 to 6 degrees. The second issue is the Max level is just the words Max stamped inside the kettle and is very difficult see. It should have been a stamped line around the whole circumference inside. Also, the spout diameter could have been slightly bigger. Overall, it works to heat water with the above issues.

Sharp rolled edge inside top of Kettle
I wanted to like this kettle because it's an attractive1 liter stainless kettle for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the rolled lip inside top of the kettle is sharp. It's like they just bent the stainless inside the kettle leaving a small gap behind the rolled in lip. It seems like this area is uncleanable. Due to sharpness and uncleanable space inside the top of the kettle, I returned it without using it so I can't comment on functionality.

~100W per pot of 190F water is great but spout is meh
While we are off-grid we use high draw products like these the bulk of the year because we have plenty of excess solar to utilize. Better to use the renewable solar than heat water with gas we have to haul in when it runs low. So this little kettle works great. It heats enough water for a full 28oz French press. The controls let you set the temp to perfect for our coffee (190F) so no worries about getting it too hot or not enough. This can take our 50F water to 190F in just a few minutes and despite pulling just over 1100W while the heating element is on it works so fast that it only drains around 100 watts. Easily replaceable on nearly any day of the year with our solar. It cleans up easily enough and looks good on the counter. The one negative is the spout. The gooseneck spout is so thin that it pours quite slow. Also because of the design you need to make sure you're next to where the water is going to be poured because if you filled to the fill max line (which I will note is a bit hard to see) as soon as you start to tip the kettle water comes out of the spout since the tip is just barely above the water line for max fill inside. Overall still pleased and it has worked wonderfully for over 3 months now of near daily use.

Gooseneck kettles do make better coffee and I appreciate the adjustable temperature
I find myself still a bit confused about how to use this even after using it for a week. I'm not sure my experience jives with the instruction manual. I set it to 196 F for coffee, and that works great. I do think gooseneck kettles make better coffee for those of us who may lack a bit of patience and finesse, as we tend to heat water to a rolling boil, don’t have the patience to wait for it to cool a bit, and also don’t have the patience or finesse to slowly pour water over the grounds. This kettle makes up for all my deficiencies. My difficulty is with the keep warm function. There is only a narrow window during which you can set this. It doesn't seem to work if you press the button after turning the machine on, while it is heating the water. I can only get it to work once the water has reached its final temperature, in the brief moment before the kettle shuts itself off. Of course, I can turn it back on, and if the temperature hasn't dropped, if I catch it right as it shuts off, I can then press the Warm button. Otherwise, I have to once again play the waiting game for it to come up to temp and then catch it before it turns off. Another odd thing is I could swear the manual said that if you remove the kettle from the base, that would deactivate the keep warm function and turn off the machine. This seemed annoying to me and made it less likely I would use this function. However I was pleased to discover that this is not so--once I set it to the warming function I can remove the kettle, pour some water, and when I put it back on the base it resumes keeping the water at the temprature I set.

Confusing controls
Works perfectly. Good balance and comfortable grip. No need to spend $160+ Boils 1qt in 5 minutes. Keeps the “hold” temperature even after you return the kettle back to the base, but the temp is unreliable when the kettle is less than half full My one criticism is the confusing way the “hold” button works.

Quality built
This is a beautiful design kettle; the digital screen is showing the temperature of the water as it heats up which is a very nice feature for those who want warm/hot/boiled water at certain degree for a specific use. Although it boils water fast, but It was not really the fastest I have seen. Also, when you pour out water, the lid for some reason leaks out some water although its closed properly. Other than that, the quality of the kettle is indeed very good and the main feature with the digital screen is very good for those who need it.

Holds temperature, boils water, and easy to use/clean. Could be cheaper but is a quality kettle!
Solid little kettle, says it's a quart and instructions says it only holds a cup but it feels like four cups at the max line! Temperature control works fine and is easily adjustable using the minus and plus buttons on the base. Keep in mind that this is a gooseneck so it will pour out slower than a larger kettle (like my 1.7L Miroco) with a wider spout. Goosenecks are perfect for brewing your tea as you pour it over your tea leaves/bag! Beeps aren't obnoxiously loud like an older one I used to have from a different brand so I'm grateful for that. Super easy to clean; make sure you don't use the first one or two kettles of water you boil! Easy to use, nice and light but make sure you don't touch the body of the kettle. A little bit steep as far as the price but it does seem like it's a good quality kettle from Chef's Choice. There are cheaper out there but you're getting a seemingly quality product here!
