It's already in the pump kit.

It converts the effluent fitting of a macerator pump hose to a garden hose and it's an expensive fitting. Too bad they didn't say it's already included with the pump kit. So, I'm returning this.

Clean Dump CDFJ Adapter for Flojet 18555 Macerator ...just came yesterday ..took a while ... guess they were out ! ..haven't used it yet ...got all my hoses weeks ago ...already had the Flojet pump ... been using a heavy 1" water hose... been waiting on this to get here to hook the whole system up and try it out ... deducted one star cause it took so long when it said it was in stock when I ordered it ...gave up because I was able to moved the camper to my regular spot with a dump station ..will update this review when I get a chance to use it ...

Don't hesitate, buy this adapter rather than trying to build your own.

I wish I would have bought this when I bought my Clean Dump hose. Instead I thought I could do it cheaper myself at the hardware store. The best options I could find were more expensive and resulted in a narrower inner diameter which would have reduced the flow. This adapter is probably as good as you are going to get and I doubt you can save any money doing it yourself, especially if you consider your time and driving expenses trying to source the parts.
