I didn't realize it was going to be so tall. Too tall for a home but it keeps the smell down and it's plenty big enough.

Great price for this receptacle! Finally an alternative to butts in the yard and ash on the porch! Funny enough, as soon as it came in yesterday, my Hubby tells me he's going to quit smoking! But until then, at least he'll have a clean & discreet place to hide the habit. Base is sturdy and I don't forsee any issue with it tipping or blowing away. The hole is plenty big enough for him to easily drop the ciggy down and so far, all butts have made their way right into the bucket. Easy assembly, and blends into our house and porch very well. I'll be ordering another one for the back porch if he continues his habit. If you are in need of this item, you can stop your search. Value and Sturdy, win-win!

Just as described.

I am very pleased with this item. It came just as described. No dents or scratches, color is just as picture showed. It's very easy to assemble as top and bottom just snap together. The pail that comes with it fits well with just enough room around the sides to add some small rocks or sand for weight as it is very light and could blow over with wind. I wish I would've bought this sooner.

I set this outside my front door....now I get made fun of.

If your a smoker, you've seen dozens of these. My friend and I, had an issue with flicking ciggarettes in the yard. When i put a standard ashtray on the porch, it was repeatedly hazed by the elements. Wind would blow the ashes and butts everywhere, rain would flood the ashtray and cuz butts and wet ash to flow onto the table, and during a big storm i would get wet butts and ash all over. I decided to upgrade and thought an Ammo can with holes in the top would be cool. They hold water, unless you punch a hole in the bottom, which just lets ash and water out of the bottom. so i decided to quit being a cheap@$$ and get a real outdoor, all-weather, blend in without being an eyesore type of ashtray. That's when i picked up the smoker outpost. So far so good. Pro's -Low price -Color matched well with background. -No interference from the weather -Easy to assemble, 3 pieces. (top,bottom,internal bucket) Con's -Friends say it officially made me "White trash" hope this helps.

A lifesaver for whomever kept choosing to throw cigs by the pool

Yes, there are work associates invited to my home once or twice a year to lounge in the pool... and these receptacles saved there life. Well, not really, but it kept them from seeing me go all "Spark-Zilla" on them. Ashtrays I guess were just not attractive enough for them. But, since I put two of these out back, I haven't found another errant half burned cigarette but. Plus, they don't look bad at all. (I may add sand to them though, as they are lighter than one would expect.) They were so easy to put together, I thought I may have not done it right. You just pop the top on and it stays. Guests think it is professional, fancy and cool, so they seem eager to use it! Mission accomplished.
