I had one of these before

This one isn't as well made as others I have had. However, it does get the job done, just a bit more lightweight than others I have owned before.

Pretty good opener

This product does its job. It doesn’t feel like the strongest made wine opener. But it works well and does the job.

Works Great!

Works great and isn't too heavy or too lightweight. Replaced a broken one that didn't seem as well made. Recommend, especially for this price point!

A simulation of the real tool in miniature

I used to have a tool that looked like this, so going by the appearance I gave it a try. And it was an Amazon's Choice item, so I could trust that it was vetted. Right? Sorry. This is a simulation of a good winged bottle opener, made to look correct in a photo. But if you saw this on a store shelf you would never buy it. It's a miniature of the real tool. It's maybe 2/3 the height and width of the original that I bought in the 1990s and maybe half as thick. So, yes, it's a good price, but it's so skimpy that it doesn't give my wife's small hands the support and leverage to easily open a bottle. After I write this I'm initiating a return. Now I know that I can't trust something that's labeled "Amazon's Choice."

This is not the one you want.

Flimsy. Not solid construction. I feel like if I pushed too hard on the handles, they could snap off. The piece inside the sleeve comes off on the bottle top. Not a deal breaker, but just anmoying. The top screw does not go down into the cork far enough initially, so you have to pull the cork half way up, then screw it down again to get out the rest of the cork. Overall, it works, but just hardly. If you have another one in mind, pick the other one. If you are looking at purchasing this one, look around a bit more. You'll be happy you did. Cheers.

Cheap and unreliable

You would do better by finding the same kind of product from a normal store where you can test its sturdiness. This isn't sturdy at all and most likely will break within a month of usage.

Take a long time to arrive

This is a good cork screw but it takes almost a month to arrive.
