Useful thermometer
I have one of these in my fridge and one in the freezer. It seems to be working fine after almost two months. The high/low recording helps a lot to see the temperature variation. The readout is easy to see. The only drawback I've encountered is that the hook isn't flexible and doesn't account for the fact that most modern appliances have fancy, curved plastic edges rather than the thin metal bar you need to hang the thermometer by the hook. That means you have to hang it sideways, which makes it hard to read when you open the door (because it's not facing you directly). You could use the stand to set the thermometer on the shelf, but who has enough extra room to take up shelf space with a thermometer, not to mention that it falls all the time while you're getting things in/out. They should have made the hook flexible and able to hook side to side in addition to back to back, and then the thermometer could hang on the wires of the shelf while still facing you. The other design change that I'd like to see would be a delay on the thermometer after a reset. Because there is no delay, the high number gets thrown off by however long it takes you to get the thermometer into the right temperature after you remove it and reset it. In other words, the thermometer remembers the high as the room temperature rather than the temperature once you close the door of the fridge/freezer. Still, this is an affordable and useful tool for making sure you're not spoiling your food. The only reason to pay more is to get one with wireless and alerts built in, but those come with another set of headaches and a higher cost. It would be nice if these came at a discount when you bought a pair of them.

Very Accurate, Easy To Read Thermometer
I recently purchased 4 of the Cooper-Atkins 2560 thermometers for my kitchen and garage refrigerator/freezers, and am very pleased with the accuracy. Upon delivery, I placed all 4 on the kitchen counter to allow them to cool from shipping temperatures of nearly 100 degrees. At 15 minutes all 4 thermometers registered within four-tenths of a degree of each other, and similarly close to my Honeywell indoor/outdoor thermometer. I then placed all four in a refrigerator, and later in a freezer, with all registering well within 1 degree of each other. The large digital display is easy to read, even when placed at the back of the refrigerator. I do agree with other reviewers complaint that the minus-sign is too far from the numbers, but it is easy to read once you are accustomed to it. The one real complaint I have is that the product should be shipped with a small suction cup for attaching to the back of the refrigerator. While the stand works well, the unit is easily pushed out of sight behind products in the refrigerator, and the hook on the stand is useless since refrigerators are no longer made with wire shelves. I happened to have small suction cups which allowed me to place them on the back wall of the refrigerator and hang the thermometer on the suction cup by the hook on the stand.

Reset Maximum/Minimum Readings Is Difficult At Best
Resetting maximum and minimum temperatures recorded is difficult. Press reset button and it may or may not reset, if it does reset the maximum temperature is read immediately which translates into the room temperature. Display is too small to easily read. Would not buy again.

Ordered two of these
I bought these and used them in my refrigerator to see if it was keeping the temps within range. The packaging was adequate, the battery compartment was easy to get to as you just need a coin to open the the back and remove the plastic between the battery and the contact. Setting the thermometers is easy - resetting them is easy too. The only "problem" I had is that while they should have both read the same temps on the counter where they were prior to putting in the freezer and refrigerator compartment, is that there was a half of a degree difference. That, I can live with. I put both in the freezer to check that. They both read the same temp. I then put both in the refrigerator portion, they were a half a degree off there. Again, I can live with that. One is now in the freezer and the other in the refrigerator. The thermometer can be detached from the stand and it can also be hung using the hook on the stand. They also come with zip ties.

Cooper 2560 Digital Refrigerator Thermometer
The Cooper thermometer is of decent quality; however, I expected it to be a little more accurate than it checked out to be. It is rated for +/- 1.8 degree F for it's overall range, but I found to read up to 2.1 degree F high. However, I am quite impressed with it and love the Min and Max Read feature. It is reasonably priced.
