May need something extra to secure shelf to brace. Screws are short.

These are cute, but the plank material is soft. Not really any need to drill pilot holes before assembling. The holes on the metal braces are or could be welded in a way that may not be great for assembly when wanting the board on top and braces below. And screws for that are short, in this case you might choose an extra measure for security. I chose to use superglue gel in the hole then screw the braces to the plank, and anywhere the brace didn't set flush with the wood I added glue there too. Once the shelves are installed they are quite lovely. I'd recommend using the drywall anchors for the end of each shelf that doesn't line up on a stud, and all 3 will not fit stud to stud. So far I have approximately 4+lbs on one shelf and 6+lbs on the longer one. I also added hooks to the bottom to get extra use out of them. Overall I think they're worth the price.
