Didn't fit my bumper, believe the part was defective
Did not fit my bumper. I believe it was defective (poor quality control). There were weld beads that ran to the inside of the mount that sat against the bumper that prevented the bolts to align with the holes. The product seemed sturdy and able to hold a good amount of weight, if only I could have used it. I sent the item back for a refund with zero issues.

Very Nice for Camper hitch
We bought this and attached it to the Y frame on the front of the camper. We use it to store our weight distribution hitch so that is does sit in the truck. We lock it in and it is out of the way.

Cut to Fit
This is an update to my original review. I originally returned the Curt camper hitch in the hope of finding something that fits better. Failed in that goal and rebought the item. Had to seriously modify the hitch to fit it on my aluminum camper trailer. (I only need it to store my truck's bed extender.) Using a angle grinder to cut the hitch down to fit was actually the easy part. Drilling new holes in the very thick steel was non-trivial. Think it will be fine.

Saved me big bucks!!!
If you are mechanically inclined this will work on a Highlander bumper. Drilled the aluminum bumper slipped this right in place trimmed the bumper cover been hauling trailers ever since. You don't need a converter switch installed under your dash either or a fuse in your fuse box. Your lights will go onto a line that will always have power as long as the switch is on. Find your signals and your break. That's it you will always have daytime running lights but saves you the time and money for the converter that will pulse your lights. This is because most vehicles don't have a separate signal light like the highlander. Most vehicles pulse the taillight for the signal already.

Great Receiver for Trailer!
I took and cut this down and re-drilled the top holes to fit the 2"x3" rear cross rail at the back of my boat trailer. Added a pigtail to the back of the boat trailer to plug the ski trailer into for the lights. Now I can pull my jet ski behind my boat like a champ! I ran that boat/ski trailer combo all summer long at 80 mph! No problems whatsoever! Heavy duty construction! Nice black finish! Well built product! Very pleased!

Fits a Boss plow crossmember on a 2015-2019 GM HD pickup!
After I had my plow installed I wasn't thrilled about losing my front receiver. I measured the plow crossmember and guessed that this would fit, and I guessed right.

Description is Misleading - 4"x2" bumper
I wanted to leave this information so others won't be as confused about this product as I was. I was very hesitant to order this as I was looking for a camper bumper hitch to be used for a bike rack. My camper bumper is 4" high by 2" deep. Most rv bumper hitches are for a 4"x4" bumper and this one (Curt 19101) on Amazon and most other web sites that sell this, specify it will fit a 2" square channel bumper. This description in wrong as it fits and is made for my 4"x2" bumper!!!!! Chalet Arrowhead Very solid product and as always, Amazon Prime shipping was fast, showed up next day!

Great hitch
Bought for a bike rack on my 2x4 C channel bumper on my camper trailer. Very heavy duty hitch... Way more than I needed. Had to do some minor modification to my bumper for it to bolt on properly. For the price, it wasn't worth sending back and only cost a few bucks to do the modifications to make it fit. Great product.

Worked for me, a cheap alternative
I bought this hitch for a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage, not to use to pull anything but as a means of being able to mount a 'load extender' type of thing onto the hitch and thereby help carry kayaks and canoes. I'm sure it will also come in handy on trips to the lumber store etc. The problem everyone who will have done this knows, is that mounting a kayak or canoe to a roof rack requires a person to twist their back around in a way that can cause a problem, especially when you get to my age. With an extender, one can tip up the front of the canoe/kayak onto the bar and then slide it forward onto the vehicle. I have not as yet tried this but am looking forward to using this new system!

Very solid !
I found this piece to be excellent and well made. It didn't suit us for what we needed it for but I definately recommend it if you have the right size bumper.
