Has a downward tilt.

Bolts on easy. Put it on my 05 Kawasaki Brute Force 650. Might just be my machine but the receiver hitch installed in this product tilts downward. It's not terrible, but bad enough that I need to remove my hitch pin if I'm running trails or I'll break it off, which I did once.

Handy as a pocket knife.

By handy, I mean this thing can allow you to do a lot of things with your ATV. I do agree with some of the concerns, you need to watch out for how it can swivel; there is a bracket included to help with this. To be honest, I don't know what kind of bolt-on, universal design would help this much more than what is included. You can always tack weld it- but for out of the package use, this thing was up and usable in no time. Do not try and change the ball on your receiver while it is in this thing... I have to change/tighten receiver hitches while it is in my truck receiver. The force of a wrench will turn this puppy in no time. Please note that if your receiver accessory/hitch is not angled at the back, it will probably hit the bolt and not clear for your pin. This is the one problem area- one that could put you in a bind if you have more than a hitch to put on. The reece 2" receiver hitch I have works great because it has a 45 degree angle in the rear. The straight cut, 2" receiver hitch I have (I do not see a brand) does NOT fit. I have this mounted on a polaris ATV. I don't see why it would not work on any ATV that has a place to put a hitch. This helps me to pull trailers because I actually have a 6X6, Polaris Magnum. Without a receiver, I easily hit my tires when making a turn. This puts the trailer a little further back, between the adapter and the actual receiver hitch, it is 12". This also will negatively affect very heavy tongue loads and is something I must watch. The further from the axle the hitch is, the more force is applied (similar to a lever idea). All-in-all, I think this a great product. Well-made, sturdy. Don't expect it to do something that is impossible.

Weld it so it wont rotate

I used the anti-rotate plate on the bottom of the hitch until it chewed away the lip on the mounting plate. Now it rotates so I'll have to weld it. The hitch itself is heavy duty and works well.

Very useful

Highly recommend this for various jobs associated with a four wheeler. Moving trailers, dragging things, towing items, etc. You could just put a ball on your four wheeler, but a receiver hitch gives options for different sizes and hooks, etc. with ease of use.

Works as expected and provides more versatility with our ATV

This product works as expected and allows me to attach a 2” receiver to our ATV. This gives us more versatility on the ranch for attaching a ball hitch to pull that type of implement. Only small issue is that the hitch mount will slightly rotate after use due to the fact there is only 1 mounting bolt. I’ve torqued it down well, but still have this issue…one for the mechanical engineers to figure out :)

Hitch for John Deere 1025R

I bought this for my John Deere 1025R sub compact tractor. The tractor has a bolt on plate with existing holes to bolt on a ball or other devices. I thought this would be perfect. Curt products seem pretty well known. I felt confident the parts would be robust. The unit seems well made like I expected. I was nervous about the reviews about the hitch rotating. I certainly didn't want that. Took a chance. Because the plate on the tractor had a larger flat spot compared to ATVs so I thought I'd rotate the v-shaped plate to use the flat end instead. Well that didn't seem to help much. I tightened all the hardware really tight but that didn't help. I think this think is going to twist. I also had to shorten the shank because it hit the bolt head and I couldn't install the pin thru the receiver. A quick cut job with a sawzall and that was fixed. I'll see how it goes but I'm thinking more work will be required. 3 stars for well built and ease of assembly but drop of 2 stars because it probably will rotate.

Awesome product.

Fit perfectly on my Honda Rubicon, attaching where the ball would be installed. Combined with the Curt 2" hitch extension it provides options to tow different equipment like toboggans and tub carts along with connect points for attaching tow straps, etc. Also extends the towing connect point back from the tires, eliminating equipment from rubbing against the tires when turning sharply or backing. Curt makes excellent, solid products.

Fitted my ATV good but...

Fit and looked good although despite being tightened with a 3' breaker bar and the anti-swivel plate in place there was some swivel. I believe if a fine thread bolt was supplied it may be possible to torque it even tighter. One could weld it the the ATV if you don't want to remove it....
